Appearance
- Blond hair: Identified as the blond man leading the Spirit Hall party at Shrek Academy 53 54.
- Three pairs of golden wings: His six wings, shared in appearance with Qian Renxue’s, make their Six-Winged Angel connection immediately recognizable 53.
- Angelic manifestation: Releasing his Martial Soul produces sacred radiance and an enormous Six-Winged Angel phantom 33.
- Deep voice: His voice is compared to a great bell whose tones reverberate through the Worship Hall 24.
Personality
Qian Daoliu is calculating and attentive to public standing. He ends Golden Crocodile’s losing battle against Yan before a more humiliating defeat can damage the Worship Hall’s reputation. His later challenge to Shen Luo is similarly strategic: by demanding victory through a specific normal attack, he hopes to expose a limit to Shen Luo’s strength rather than simply fight him head-on 26 33.
His pride gives way quickly when his life is threatened. Nearly bleeding to death after Shen Luo’s attack leaves him terrified, apologetic, and willing to endure public punishment. He subsequently abandons his attachment to level-99 cultivation in favor of summoned characters, recognizing that early access to their power matters more than his former prestige 36 37 44 47 68.
He is protective of Qian Renxue but ruthless toward outsiders. He worries that her unfamiliarity with newly acquired characters could let Tang Hao exploit her, yet accepts coercion and reputational damage when obtaining ascension materials. During negotiations with Di Tian, he openly admits that his side is in the wrong and asserts that strength—not fairness—determines who gets a say 47 53 69.
Abilities & Skills
Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul
His original Martial Soul provides angelic manifestations, golden wings, and access to Solar True Fire 14 33 53.
- Martial Soul Avatar: Manifests an enormous Six-Winged Angel phantom during his challenge to Shen Luo 33.
- Fourth Soul Skill — Eye of the Angel: Opens a golden vertical eye that fires a golden holy sword 33.
- Solar True Fire: Makes him a secondary fire-type Soul Master for character-experience purposes; he provides less experience than a primary fire-type opponent 14.
- Defensive Soul Power: Shatters Golden Crocodile’s reflected golden scale with a blast from his palm 25.
- Demonstrated limit: His Martial Soul Avatar and Fourth Soul Skill are overwhelmed by Shen Luo’s water-sword normal attack, which pierces his chest 33.
Swordsmanship and Combat Perception
Qian Daoliu combines sword attacks with rapid movement and an ability to detect concealed opponents 53.
- Detects Tang Hao near Shrek Academy before the others can locate him 53.
- Strikes the internally injured Tang Hao with the Angel Holy Sword, sending him flying, then subdues him 53 54.
- Recognizes that Kamisato Ayaka’s snow tornado can initially be countered by leaving its range and attacking its user directly 80.
- Senses that Zi Ji remains nearby after she disappears and leaves a pool of black water 61.
Summoned Characters
Qian Daoliu exchanges his cultivated Soul Power for characters and weapons supplied through Shen Luo’s card-drawing system 47 79 81.
| Character | Documented acquisition | Demonstrated use or development |
|---|---|---|
| Kaedehara Kazuha | One copy 47 | Uses his Elemental Burst against Chen Xin, Gu Rong, and Ning Fengzhi, badly wounding all three 54 55. |
| Qiqi | One copy initially; second copy later 47 79 | Reaches C1 after the second acquisition. No personal combat demonstration is documented in these passages 79. |
| Bennett | Five copies in the first batch 47 | Part of his initial roster; no individual use by Qian Daoliu is shown 47. |
| Rosaria | Three copies in the first batch 47 | Part of his initial roster 47. |
| Razor | Four copies in the first batch 47 | Part of his initial roster 47. |
| Raiden Shogun | One copy 79 | Shares strength with him, defeats She Long’s Kamisato Ayaka, and reaches level five 80 81. |
Raiden Shogun’s Electro Abilities
The Shogun establishes a strength-sharing connection with Qian Daoliu immediately after her summoning, despite initially regarding him with hostility 79 80.
- Elemental Skill: Produces a purple spatial-looking slash, an eye of lightning, and a floating purple halo; his weapon becomes infused with elemental energy 80.
- Elemental Burst: Creates lightning-blazing attacks and successive purple rifts that dismantle Kamisato Ayaka’s snow tornado 80.
- Combat performance: Leaves She Long burned and numb while Qian Daoliu suffers only frost on his clothing 80.
- Independence requirement: He explains that three more successful summons would bring her to C3, allowing her to gain a physical body and separate from him while retaining their strength-sharing connection. This remains a future goal 80.

History
Discovery of the Card System
Qian Daoliu first investigates the new abilities when Yan challenges Golden Crocodile outside the Worship Hall. After destroying a reflected scale that penetrates the hall doors, he watches Yan withstand the Second Worship’s attacks and recover through Barbara’s healing. Recognizing that Golden Crocodile is exhausting himself against an apparently unspent opponent, he stops the battle and orders him to concede a scale 24 25 26.
He then questions Yan and the elders inside the Worship Hall. Their reduced Soul Rings confirm that the abilities were purchased with actual Soul Power, a phenomenon none of the Worships can explain. He agrees to accompany Bibi Dong on a visit to Shen Luo 27.
Defeat and Public Apology
Qian Daoliu attempts to undermine Shen Luo’s divine claims by insisting that he defeat a level-99 Peerless Douluo with the same normal attack previously used against Ghost Douluo. He has Yue Guan verify the move while he himself deploys his Martial Soul Avatar and Eye of the Angel 33.
The challenge ends immediately: Shen Luo’s water sword shatters his attack, pierces his chest, and pins him to the Six-Winged Angel statue, breaking its wings. Yan’s Barbara healing saves his life. When Shen Luo later threatens to leave Spirit City, Qian Daoliu approaches with Yan’s assistance, drops to his knees, and begs forgiveness 33 36 37.
He prevents the returning Qian Renxue from retaliating, telling her that Spirit Hall deserves its punishment. After the enforced kneeling ends, he pays eighteen Soul Power levels for his first character roster. He also intercedes for Golden Crocodile, obtaining permission for the Second Worship to draw cards under a larger, thirty-six-level penalty 39 47 49.
Shrek Academy Raid
Qian Daoliu accompanies Qian Renxue, Yue Guan, and She Long to Shrek Academy to obtain roughly four thousand jin of Tang San’s Blue Silver vines. Although initially embarrassed by the public destruction of the academy gate, he decides that acquiring greater strength outweighs the damage to his reputation 53.
He defeats Tang Hao, then uses Kazuha’s Elemental Burst against the arriving Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. While Qian Renxue controls the other combatants, he supervises the forced harvesting of Tang San’s vines. The party departs after collecting the required amount 53 54 55.
Star Dou Great Forest Expedition
Qian Daoliu recommends keeping Spirit Hall’s parties and the participating Spirit City residents together because the Ferocious Beasts’ numbers and strength are unknown. He also requires the residents to remain with the expedition after collecting their own plant materials, preserving the group’s collective fighting strength 58 59.
After the others obtain their materials, he and Qian Renxue remain behind for Bi Ji’s feathers. He sends the rest home to resume drawing cards rather than waste time waiting. His frustration escalates into a threat to burn the forest if Bi Ji does not appear by noon 67 68.
Bi Ji arrives with Di Tian, who ultimately orders her to surrender the feathers. Qian Daoliu demands ten rather than the initial five, and the grandfather–granddaughter pair leave with their materials. On returning to Spirit City, he apologizes to Furina after Qian Renxue attempts to look behind the stage curtain 69 70.
Raiden Shogun and Later Expeditions
After joining the Far North Artifact expedition, Qian Daoliu returns to card drawing in search of a five-star main damage dealer. He obtains the Raiden Shogun, tests her against She Long, and then purchases enough weapon pulls to guarantee Engulfing Lightning 74 79 80 81.
He later helps the Worships subdue five Ferocious Beasts at Star Lake under Shen Luo’s instruction not to kill them. When the Silver Dragon King attacks, the group’s human-shaped Martial Souls collectively force back her descending foot 83.
Back in Spirit City, he agrees to receive Emperor Xue Ye’s delegation but suspends card drawing to conceal the system. When questioned about Shen Luo, he claims that Spirit Hall has gathered to hear an opera singer and refuses a request for another performance 86 87.
Relationships
- Qian Renxue — Granddaughter and expedition partner. He protects her from confronting Shen Luo, gives her priority in card drawing, and accompanies her to obtain ascension materials 39 47 69.
- Shen Luo — Initially a target of suspicion and attempted political pressure; afterward, the source of his new combat power. His near-fatal defeat transforms his attitude into fearful deference 33 36 47.
- Golden Crocodile Douluo — Second Worship, addressed as “Second Brother.” Qian Daoliu protects his reputation after the Yan duel and later petitions for him to regain access to card drawing 26 49.
- Bibi Dong — Fellow Spirit Hall leader. She defers to him in drawing order and consults him on receiving Xue Ye’s delegation 47 86.
- Yan — First demonstrates the summoned characters’ power to him and later saves him through Barbara’s healing 25 37.
- Raiden Shogun — Summoned partner with whom he shares strength. He reassures her about eventual independence and invests heavily in her signature weapon 80 81.
- Tang Hao — Opponent during the Shrek Academy raid. Qian Daoliu defeats and immobilizes him while the party extracts Tang San’s vines 53 54.
- Di Tian and Bi Ji — Adversaries during the search for Kazuha’s ascension materials. Their confrontation ends with Bi Ji surrendering ten feathers 69.
