Compensation
The Silver Dragon landed to let Luo Fu down, then looked at Mackenzie and said coldly, "You'd better watch yourself. I hope you don't make the wrong choice."
Mackenzie looked at the Silver Dragon in surprise. "A Saint-level Magical Beast?" But inwardly, he was guessing that the young man before him had a formidable background. He even had a Saint-level Silver Dragon as his magical pet, one that could rival a Saint Domain Peak expert.
Luo Fu, meanwhile, had come before Masi. "When you seriously wounded me and then killed my magical pet, did you ever imagine this day would come? Today, one of us dies."
Mackenzie finally understood the cause. He looked at Luo Feng and said, "Young man, about this matter..."
Mackenzie was about to explain and persuade them to reconcile, but before he could finish, the Silver Dragon interrupted him. "Mackenzie, I'm showing you respect because you're a Saint Domain expert. That's why I haven't acted myself. Can't you see my master hasn't said a word? What reconciliation? Either let the two of them settle this themselves, or you and I can settle it."
The Silver Dragon's words left no room for compromise. If the Silver Dragon fought Mackenzie and killed him, the Jax Family would be finished. Mackenzie wasn't that foolish. The situation was beyond his control, so he had no choice but to swallow his anger.
At last, Luo Feng, standing in midair, spoke. "Everyone who attacked my younger brother that day, except Masi, get out here. As for Masi, this is a personal grudge between you and Luo Fu. I won't interfere. Call out the subordinates who attacked Luo Fu with you that day."
Under the pressure of a Saint Domain expert, Masi didn't dare object. He immediately called those men out, including the Warrior of the Ninth Rank. None of them had even a chance to escape. They all knelt below, looking at Luo Feng in terror, their faces ashen.
"Masi, call out your Level Eight Magical Beast, the Golden-Eyed Lion Mastiff, and your Level Nine Magical Beast, the Crimson Water Serpent Emperor, as well. I don't want to repeat myself." Luo Feng's expression finally changed, his eyes brimming with killing intent. The people below had nearly killed his younger brother.
Luo Feng looked at the people below and murmured, "If you want someone to blame, blame yourselves for attacking Luo Fu. My younger brother isn't someone you can bully as you please." With that, he held out his palm, and a gigantic hand formed of Wind Element rushed toward them. An instant later, there was a tremendous crash, and the giant palm smashed everyone below to pieces.
The Silver Dragon watched from the side and said to Luo Feng, "Master, are you letting them off just like that? Should I kill everyone in the Jax Family?"
Hearing this, Mackenzie's anger erupted. Even a clay figurine had some temper. The dragon was stronger than him, so he had put up with it coming to his home and threatening to kill people. But now it actually wanted to wipe out his entire family?
Luo Feng gave Mackenzie an indifferent glance. "I promised Luo Fu I wouldn't attack anyone else. Now let's see how he settles this."
"You relied on your strength at the Peak of the Eighth-level Warrior to attack me. My magical pet was killed by you trying to save me, and only then was I able to escape with my life. Now let's fight again. I've come to wash away the humiliation." Luo Fu's eyes held boundless hatred.
Masi knew reconciliation was impossible. If he lost, he really would die. Seeing Luo Fu attack, he refused to remain passive and immediately shot toward him like lightning. A light breeze blew past. Masi leaped into the air, then swooped down. Solid, milky-white flames erupted from the longsword in his hand as he slashed fiercely at Luo Fu below.
In the blink of an eye, a heaven-shaking boom rang out, followed by a series of cracking sounds. The greatsword in Luo Fu's hand met Masi's longsword, and the two blades collided. The floor, seven meters thick and built of hard Azure Radiance Stone, immediately split with enormous cracks tens of meters long, spreading like a spiderweb. Countless fragments of stone flew in every direction like bullets. Dust filled the air!
But now, a sword had struck the floor. Although Masi had avoided it, his arm was numb, and his heart sank. Luo Fu was so much stronger than him now. He had once toyed with Luo Fu like a clown, yet now Luo Fu was actually stronger than him.
With a cold snort, Luo Fu moved his sword-bearing right hand slightly, leaving an afterimage as though it had swept through space. At the critical moment, the edge of his greatsword, gleaming with a cold light, struck the side of the deadly blade coming at him. There was a strange clang, and in an instant, sparks flew amid the clear ringing of steel!
Sword shadows filled the sky, every strike sharp, interweaving like the threads of a cocoon. Fueled by his anger, Luo Fu displayed his swordsmanship to the fullest! His blade cleaved the air with a shrill sound like tearing cloth. Wave after wave of unmatched sword qi whipped up a violent storm, shooting swiftly in every direction.
In an instant, dazzling light and an intensely cold aura of slaughter filled the air. Fierce Battle-qi still drifted about like a raging storm, sending broken stones flying and filling the air with dust. "Masi, die!"
Suddenly, Luo Fu's greatsword seemed to move exactly as he wished. It forced its way into the net of fierce sword strikes surrounding Masi and plunged into his chest.
"Ah!" "Boom!"
With Masi dead, the blood-red color in Luo Fu's eyes gradually faded. After harboring hatred for so long, he had finally taken his revenge. Did you see that, Saber-Toothed Tiger? I'm a Ninth Rank expert now. It's a pity you're no longer here. How I wish you could have accompanied me to the peak of the martial path. Did you see? I've killed Masi.
Mackenzie narrowed his eyes. "Young man, your younger brother is a Warrior of the Ninth Rank. Letting them duel like that was a little unfair, wasn't it?"
Luo Feng glanced at him, too lazy to respond. His impression of Mackenzie from the original work was neither good nor bad; he had seemed ordinary enough.
The Silver Dragon couldn't stand it anymore and roared at Mackenzie, "That brat was at the Peak of the Eighth Rank when he launched a sneak attack on Luo Fu, who was only at the Middle of the Eighth Rank. Was that fair? Luo Fu worked hard and is now a Warrior of the Ninth Rank. Your useless junior was surpassed, so who can you blame?"
Useless? Mackenzie smiled bitterly. The little genius of his family had been called useless, and right in front of him, a Saint Domain expert. He wanted to get angry but couldn't win a fight. Nothing could be more stifling than this.
"Mackenzie, I have a few Level Five magic cores here. I know your Jax Family is the greatest overlord of the Northwest Province. I'd like to trade these Level Five magic cores with you. I'm planning to settle down in the M Mist Forest in the Holy Union. Arrange for some craftsmen to help me build a mountain estate. I'll give you a year. I'll see you in the Holy Union then." Watching from the side, Luo Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Luo Fu had resolved the knot in his heart.
"Level Five? Level Five magic cores? And only a few of them? You expect me to spend an enormous sum building you a castle for that? I say, this is blatant extortion!" Mackenzie roared as soon as he heard Luo Feng's words. Was this a joke? Did he take him for a fool?
"This is compensation, not extortion. Understand? I'll be waiting for you in the Holy Union a year from now. If you don't come, you know you'll regret it." In fact, when Luo Feng had read the original work, he had known that Mackenzie was the richest of the Saint Domain experts. Most others lived as Ascetics, but he knew how to enjoy himself. If Luo Feng didn't fleece him, who else would he fleece? Luo Feng smiled. "Luo Fu, Wa'ersi, let's go."
