Douluo: My Custom Achievement System
After Yan Shaozhe left, Mu En slowly opened his eyes. They looked cloudy, but a sharp light flashed within them.
Jiang Yi, who was in the outer courtyard, did not know that he had already attracted Mu En's attention.
After finishing his afternoon classes and eating with Jiang Nannan, he returned to his dorm room.
Inside the dorm room, Jiang Yi sat cross-legged on another bed that no one slept in, wearing an old set of clothes.
He knew about the side effects of taking the Mystic Water Pill and naturally did not want to dirty his own bed.
He took out the porcelain bottle containing the Mystic Water Pill and tipped the pill straight into his mouth.
Once the Mystic Water Pill went down, a cool sensation spread throughout his body. Its potent medicinal power burst forth inside him, surging into his limbs and bones.
A faint blue light radiated from Jiang Yi's body, where a thin layer of mist covered his skin.
The mist continuously flowed out of his pores before returning to his body. The process repeated over and over, washing his meridians clean.
Time passed, second by second and minute by minute. The night went by, and the first rays of morning sunlight fell into Jiang Yi's room.
Jiang Yi slowly opened his eyes and immediately smelled a terrible stench. He knew it was the impurities in his body that the Mystic Water Pill had washed out.
Without the slightest hesitation, Jiang Yi jumped off the bed and went to the bathroom at the end of the dormitory to wash the filth from his body.
Then he returned and cleaned up the filth left in the room.
Once everything was taken care of, he bundled up his old clothes, planning to throw them into the trash can downstairs later.
"Phew, finally got it all cleaned up." Jiang Yi returned to the dorm room and stretched, feeling refreshed in body and mind.
Only then did Jiang Yi settle down to examine the changes in his body.
As expected, after taking a Mystic Water Pill, Jiang Yi's Soul Power had broken straight through to level seventeen, and he was not far from level eighteen.
He tried cultivating his Soul Power and found that his speed had once again increased tremendously. Jiang Yi estimated it was nearly four times higher than before.
"My Innate Soul Power was originally level one and a half. After taking the Mystic Water Pill, the increase in my cultivation speed is about the same as what Huo Yuhao got with his level-one Innate Soul Power."
A sharp light flickered in Jiang Yi's eyes as he concentrated his spiritual power.
"Even my spiritual power has improved a little. This Mystic Water Pill brings improvements all around."
After assessing the improvements he had gained from the Mystic Water Pill, Jiang Yi checked the time and headed downstairs, ready to eat breakfast in the cafeteria.
In the inner courtyard, after consulting Mu En the previous night, Yan Shaozhe went to ask Ma Xiaotao for her opinion the next morning.
In the office, Ma Xiaotao stood before Yan Shaozhe. As she listened to him, her expression changed repeatedly before settling into determination.
"Teacher, I'm willing to let that Soul Master with the sacred attribute suppress my Evil Fire," Ma Xiaotao said firmly.
Yan Shaozhe sighed inwardly. He had known Ma Xiaotao would agree in the end.
His disciple's obsession with cultivation was not something that could be changed so easily.
"Sigh, I knew you'd agree. Actually, a Soul Master with the water attribute could help you suppress it too," Yan Shaozhe said with a sigh.
"How could the water attribute suppress it as well as the sacred attribute?" Ma Xiaotao immediately retorted.
Yan Shaozhe looked helplessly at his disciple and said, "Since you've agreed, I won't say anything more."
A smile immediately appeared on Ma Xiaotao's face. Seeing this, Yan Shaozhe said irritably, "Don't celebrate too early. Even if you've agreed, that sacred-attribute Soul Master might not necessarily help you suppress it."
"Why?" Ma Xiaotao asked urgently.
This concerned whether she could cultivate normally. How could she not be anxious?
"You've agreed, but he hasn't. Are you planning to force him?" Yan Shaozhe said.
Ma Xiaotao was instantly a little dejected. Then she looked at Yan Shaozhe pitifully.
"Teacher."
Seeing his disciple like this, Yan Shaozhe immediately softened.
"I'll do my best to get him to agree. Wait here for now."
"Thank you, Teacher," Ma Xiaotao said happily, no trace of her earlier expression remaining.
Faced with a disciple whose expression changed so quickly, Yan Shaozhe could do nothing. He vanished in a flash, leaving the inner courtyard.
For his disciple's sake, he naturally had to show sincerity and make Jiang Yi willing to suppress Ma Xiaotao's Evil Fire.
In the outer courtyard, Jiang Yi had just begun his first class of the morning when his homeroom teacher, Lin Yu, came looking for him.
"Jiang Yi, come out." Lin Yu suddenly appeared at the door, walked in, and called out to him.
The sudden interruption gave Jiang Yi, who had been concentrating on cultivation, the feeling that he had been transported back to high school on Blue Star.
But this was not Blue Star, and the teachers at Shrek Academy would not discipline students for cultivating during class.
Jiang Yi stood up, walked over to Lin Yu, and asked, "Teacher, what do you need me for?"
"It's not me. Director Du Weilun is looking for you. Go to the Academic Affairs Office and see him now. Don't worry about class," Lin Yu said with a smile.
"The director is looking for me?"
"All right, I'll go now," Jiang Yi said quickly, though he was puzzled.
He turned and left the teaching building, heading for the Academic Affairs Office.
The two buildings were not far apart. Jiang Yi soon arrived at the Academic Affairs Office and made his way to Du Weilun's office, a route he knew well.
To his surprise, Du Weilun himself was standing outside the door.

"Director, weren't you looking for me? Why are you standing out here alone?" Jiang Yi asked in puzzlement.
Du Weilun smiled. "It wasn't me. The person who's really looking for you is inside."
Jiang Yi looked toward the office. The identity of someone who could make Du Weilun, the director of the outer courtyard's Martial Soul Department, stand outside seemed obvious.
Is the person inside Yan Shaozhe? Jiang Yi wondered silently.
If it really is him, he's probably here because of my sacred attribute.
After revealing his sacred attribute, Jiang Yi had expected someone to come looking for him.
There was still nearly a year before Huo Yuhao enrolled, and by this time, Ma Xiaotao must already have been unable to keep her Evil Fire suppressed.
If things continued this way, she would inevitably head down the path to losing control.
With his sacred attribute appearing at this time, it was inevitable that Yan Shaozhe would come looking for him.
After all, the sacred attribute's ability to suppress Evil Fire should have been second only to Ultimate Ice.
He said this because the sacred attribute was extremely aggressive toward the evil attribute.
In fact, this special sacred attribute could already be considered an Ultimate Attribute in a sense when it came to Soul Masters with attributes such as darkness and evil.
Jiang Yi was not opposed to helping Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire.
Ma Xiaotao had not lost control and hurt anyone yet. Helping her suppress her Evil Fire and preventing her from losing control and hurting people in the future would be a good deed.
Of course, they were neither friends nor family, so he would not help Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire for free. He had to receive sufficient compensation.
Jiang Yi came to the office door and raised a hand to knock. A voice immediately came from inside. "Come in."
He pushed open the door and entered. The first thing he saw was Yan Shaozhe sitting behind the desk.
"Hello, Jiang Yi. I've heard your name many times already. Your talent has amazed me," Yan Shaozhe said with a smile.
"You flatter me, Dean." Jiang Yi bowed slightly.
Yan Shaozhe smiled faintly and asked, "How do you know I'm the dean?"
"Other than the dean, I can't think of anyone who could make Director Du wait outside," Jiang Yi explained.
In fact, there were many people at Shrek Academy who could make Du Weilun give up his office.
At the Sea God Pavilion Meeting, Yan Shaozhe had only sat in the lowest seat, but naturally Jiang Yi had to say this in front of him now.
The smile on Yan Shaozhe's face grew wider. He nodded slightly and said, "I personally had Weilun arrange yesterday's class assessment. I was surprised that you managed to defeat three Soul Ancestors."
"That's exactly what our monster students at Shrek Academy are like. You did very well."
"But that isn't what I wanted to talk about today. I heard from Weilun that a sacred attribute was displayed during yesterday's match."
"Could you show me your Martial Soul?" Yan Shaozhe's tone actually carried a hint of entreaty.
Jiang Yi was somewhat surprised that Yan Shaozhe was being so polite.
It seems he takes Ma Xiaotao's problem very seriously.
This suited Jiang Yi perfectly. Without hesitation, he released his Martial Soul and activated the Holy Mark at the same time.
Yan Shaozhe could not help standing up. Looking at Jiang Yi's Blue Silver Grass radiating sacred light, he could clearly sense the sacred presence upon it.
"It really is the sacred attribute." Yan Shaozhe smiled.
Then he turned his gaze to Jiang Yi. All he had to do next was persuade him.
Yan Shaozhe was quite confident about that. He was a Super Douluo and the dean of Shrek Academy's Martial Soul Department, personally making a request.
A little Soul Master like Jiang Yi would surely agree readily.
"Child, I actually came to ask you a personal favor. My disciple..." Yan Shaozhe told Jiang Yi about her with genuine feeling.
Finally, he stated his purpose: he wanted Jiang Yi to help Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire.
Realization dawned on Jiang Yi's face, but then he said with some difficulty, "Dean, I really am willing to help Senior Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire."
Delight appeared in Yan Shaozhe's eyes. He had known that if he came personally, he could settle this easily.
"But if I help Senior Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire, won't it delay my cultivation?"
"As you know, my cultivation is already very low. If I'm delayed by this too, it'll be difficult to catch up with everyone else later." Jiang Yi looked troubled.
Seeing this, Yan Shaozhe hurriedly said, "Don't worry. Each suppression won't take much time, and I'll also provide cultivation resources as compensation."
"Really?" Jiang Yi pressed.
"Of course. Whatever you want, just ask," Yan Shaozhe said, thumping his chest.
A sharp light flashed in Jiang Yi's eyes. Then he said, "I want five Mystic Water Pills, two Soul Ascension Pills, two pieces of Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue, and five pieces of Thousand-Year Whale Rubber."
"W-what?" Yan Shaozhe could not believe what he had heard.
The five Mystic Water Pills and the Soul Ascension Pills were not much, and five pieces of Thousand-Year Whale Rubber were also acceptable, but two pieces of Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue were far too precious.
When consumed, Whale Rubber could improve a Soul Master's physique and increase the age of the Soul Rings they could absorb. It was a resource many Soul Masters dreamed of obtaining.
Generally, such resources were first sold to high-level Soul Masters and major powers. Only what remained would make its way to auction houses.
Because of this, very little Whale Rubber circulated on the market. Even when it did, it was at most a thousand years old.
It was not that higher-grade Whale Rubber was monopolized by high-level Soul Masters, but that Whale Rubber over ten thousand years old was simply too rare.
Whale Rubber came from Demon Whales. With their formidable strength, Soul Masters could still hunt thousand-year Demon Whales.
But ten-thousand-year Demon Whales lived in the deep sea. Not only were they incredibly powerful themselves, but other powerful Sea Soul Beasts also lived around them.
Hunting them was simply too difficult. Almost no Soul Master could emerge unscathed after being surrounded and attacked by powerful Sea Soul Beasts.
No one was willing to gamble with their life. Even though Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue brought tremendous improvements, it was no longer of much use to Soul Masters capable of hunting ten-thousand-year Demon Whales.
Only Soul Masters from certain major clans would attempt to obtain Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue for the talented younger members of their families.
Thus, Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue was extremely, extremely rare throughout human history.
In the original story, even Shrek's Treasure Appraisal Fair had failed to recognize that piece of Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue, allowing Huo Yuhao to pick up an incredible bargain.
And Jiang Yi had opened his mouth and asked for two pieces of such precious Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue.
How could Yan Shaozhe not be shocked?
Looking at Jiang Yi, who had opened his mouth as wide as a lion, Yan Shaozhe knew that the boy was not troubled at all. He simply wanted to fleece him for a huge amount of resources.
Don't get angry. I'm not angry. Think of Xiaotao... Yan Shaozhe barely managed to suppress his temper.
There was Jiang Yi's talent, and there was Ma Xiaotao's Evil Fire, which urgently needed suppressing. Most importantly, of course, there were Mu En's words: try to meet Jiang Yi's demands.
