I, Macao, Am Invincible
At that moment, Mira, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, appeared behind Lisanna with a stern face, and her raised, pale fist slammed directly onto Lisanna's head.
She heard everything Lisanna said!
"Lisanna, you won't get any food later!"
"No, no, Mira!" Lisanna, ignoring the rubbing of her head, grabbed Mira's arm and shook her vigorously.
Hughes ignored the quirky Lisanna and handed the Feather Fish and the Clover Town delicacies he had specially bought for the three of them to the oblivious Elfman.
Hughes didn't know when the kid had arrived, but he caught a glimpse of a dark figure beside him out of the corner of his eye, and then he vaguely remembered that there was a male in the house.
Hughes patted himself down, shook off the dust, and put on the new shoes Mira handed him before going inside.
"Why aren't you wearing clothes again? You can't be like Gray, it's embarrassing!" Mira scolded angrily as she put away Hughes's old shoes.
Hughes pointed to his trousers; he still had a sense of shame and couldn't bring himself to do something as audacious as wildly swinging a stick around.
At the dinner table, Mira brought Hughes a large bowl of meat porridge, the aroma of which was irresistible. Mira's cooking skills were superb; even Hughes, who wasn't hungry yet, devoured the large bowl of meat porridge in front of him in no time.
"I didn't expect you to be back so early. I didn't cook much this morning, so have something to eat first, and I'll cook some more later," Mira said, assuming Hughes was very hungry, seeing how quickly he was eating.
Hughes waved his hand. "No need, no need, I'm not that hungry yet. By the way, take these, I'll spend them quickly if I have them on me."
Hughes took the payment Makarov had given him from his Vice Admiral and handed it to Mira: "Keep some for household expenses, and save the rest. You can pay the chairman back when you have enough."
Since they started living together, Mira has been in charge of all the household chores, including cooking and cleaning, and naturally, Mira has become the person in charge of the household affairs.
Makarov gave Hughes 3 million J, and Hughes spent 100,000 J eating and shopping near Clover Station. He then gave the remaining 2.9 million J to Mira.
Mira took the money, set aside the 2 million J, which she needed to save to return to the guild leader; she then took 400,000 J from the remaining 900,000 J and put it back into Hughes's hands. "It's not good to always freeload at the guild; it can leave a bad impression. Just remember not to squander it."
Hughes stared at the money in his hand, slightly stunned. Mira seemed to be glowing, a strange and indescribable feeling emanating from her...
"Hey Lisanna and Elfman, here's 50,000 J each. Remember not to spend it recklessly; you two don't know how to earn money yet! I'll keep the remaining 400,000 J for daily expenses!"
After putting the 50,000 J into her pocket, Lisanna finally dared to complain, "Mira, you really look like a housewife, making us all look like unruly kids!"
Hughes's eyes lit up. Yes, that's exactly the kind of incongruity he felt with Mira right now.
Mira is five years younger than him.
"Lisanna, eat your food. If you don't want to eat, go back to your room and don't get in my way," Mira said, rolling her eyes at her.
Having finished eating Lisanna raised her hand and asked, "Can I go to the guild? Erza accepted a D-Class quest, the mission area is within Magnolia Town, and she invited me, Natsu, and Gray to go together as a learning experience."
"Lisanna, I've told you countless times to stay away from them. Erza, Gray, Natsu are a violent woman, a perverted man, and a volatile man."
"If you always hang out with them, you'll go crazy. Can't you play with good kids Levy Cana and Levy?"
Hughes almost burst out laughing when he heard this. Levy was indeed a good girl before she met Iron Dragon.
Cana? Don't be fooled by her seemingly well-behaved appearance; she's secretly violating national regulations by drinking alcohol.
"Hey! Hughes, stop laughing like that. I really did make plans with Erza. Please help me persuade Mira; Mira listens to you the most."
Seeing Mira's firm stance and her insistence on not letting her go to Erza, Lisanna turned around and pleaded with Hughes, constantly rubbing his shoulders and back with Hughes small hands.
"Alright, alright, I'm going to the guild later too. You follow me, and we'll sneak out without Mira finding out!"
"Yeah! Hughes, you really are the best!"
Mira, who was sitting opposite Hughes and had overheard their entire scheme, glanced at them speechlessly. Were they treating her like she was deaf or like the villains?
"Mira, later, prepare the Feather Fish that Elfman sent to the kitchen. It's a legendary delicacy. Remember to save one for the guild master; I promised him." Hughes said to Mira after sending Lisanna away.
Mira nodded. "I need to figure out how to cook. We probably won't make it for lunch. You can come back for dinner tonight!"
Hughes, accompanied by Lisanna and Elfman, arrogantly kicked open the Fairy Tail guild door.
"Bang!"
"Damn it, which bastard dares to cause trouble at Fairy Tail guild?"
With his back to the guild gate, Wakaba angrily stood up, turned around menacingly, and then sat down quietly.
"Wakaba, why are you sitting down again?" Macao was sitting at the same table as Wakaba, asked in confusion.
My stomach isn't feeling well...
"As expected, with the guild leader gone, this guild still has to rely on me Macao!" Macao sighed softly, then stood up firmly. He wanted to see which powerful figure had made Wakaba so cowardly!
A moment later, bruised and battered, Macao sat down, utterly exhausted. "Wakaba, next time I get drunk and start floating, remember to stop me!"
"Huh? Macao, you were so fierce just now. I thought you had made great progress in your magic training recently and your strength had improved so much that you even dared to fight Hughes!" Wakaba, who almost thought that Macao had secretly improved behind his back, breathed a sigh of relief.
It's good that you're all a bit tipsy. Everyone should just enjoy being a couch potato and not do anything as awful as secretly working hard.
Involution is a dead end; it will only lead to greater losses for everyone.
At the bar, Hughes, having warmed up his muscles, finally spotted the trio of perverted man, irritable man, and armored woman that Mira had mentioned... no, it should be a quartet. He almost missed Happy on Natsu's head.
"Hey, Lisanna, we thought you weren't coming!" Happy perched on Natsu's head, stretching out his tiny Cat Claws to greet Lisanna, Elfman, and Hughes.
Hughes went over and ruffled Happy's little head; it felt quite nice.
"Sorry everyone, I'm late!"
Natsu smiled broadly, "It's alright, it's alright, Lisanna, we only waited a little while!"
Erza, seeing that everyone had arrived, urged them to set off. D-Class mission wasn't difficult for Erza; the sooner they finished, the sooner everyone could return to the guild.
"Erza, remember to take good care of them!" Hughes instructed.
"Don't worry, Hughes, I will absolutely not let anything happen to them!" Erza patted her armor and said confidently.
