Lin Xiao traveled through Chongxiao Domain while searching for a suitable base for the Lingxian Sect, but an early Cloud Burst trapped Cloud Gathering City in a deadly formation. After helping rescue its residents, he faced the Annihilation Immortal’s avatar and struggled to keep Jiang Qu alive.

• Qingle explained that the Zhenyang Sect had drained his cultivation through his Divine Ability, then considered negotiating for his kind to live in Zhenyang City before giving Lin Xiao a map and a guiding fruit.
• Lin Xiao left Qingle and traveled through the wilderness, buying World Bamboo and crossing into Chongxiao Domain through the Mystic Ice Passage.
• Lin Xiao bought young snow pigs, sheep, and cattle along with pasture grass, then learned that Chongxiao Domain’s people migrated to escape Cloud Bursts.
• Lin Xiao investigated Thousand Cloud City and its established silkworm trade, then hired Jiang Qu to guide him on the second layer.
• An early Cloud Burst sealed Cloud Gathering City inside its defensive array as Execution Qi drained the trapped residents, and Lin Xiao began capturing the Qi with his private vault.

After Cloud Burst tears Lin Xiao into Great Wind Valley, he discovers an isolated society that cultivates Origin Qi and contacts Liao Pantu while seeking a way out. His investigation of the valley’s history reveals it was founded to preserve humanity during the war with Execution Cultivators, and he begins examining its ancient cultivation methods.

• The Annihilation Immortal's clone escaped the cultivators, and Jiang Qu died in Lin Xiao’s arms after giving him a Jade Slip pointing toward his hometown.
• Lin Xiao endured the Cloud Burst, was caught between colliding thundercloud pillars, and was sucked into a spatial rift.
• While Lin Xiao was missing, Xuanyuan Haoyue and the Lingxian Sect team built a fake base near Yuanling City and began recruiting disciples with help from the Yuan Household.
• Lin Xiao woke in Great Wind Valley, where Dong Que and Dong Li took him in and introduced him to East Village.
