Background / History

Lan Hong awakens in Cat King Village as a transmigrator and immediately recognizes Hong Mao, leader of the Seven Swords, as one of his conscious Martial Souls. He conceals his Twin Martial Souls from Spirit Hall, whose recruitment offer he declines in favor of formal schooling. From the outset, he and his Martial Souls reject the Spirit Ring system's dependence on killing Spirit Beasts and resolve to become strong enough to change the world's rules. 1

At Nuoding Academy, Lan Hong develops a rigid training routine under Hong Mao and Blue Cat's guidance. He reaches the first Soul Power bottleneck but refuses to hunt Spirit Beasts; instead, his Martial Souls devise a method to self-condense rings from Soul Power, laws, and bloodline samples. His first ring grants the Changhong Sword, establishing the method that later becomes central to both his own growth and that of his disciples. 3 4
