Double Buff Stack! Twelve Old Ladies!
As night had not yet completely faded, a lingering trace of darkness remained on the horizon, and the stars twinkled faintly, as if reluctant to leave.
Just then, a piercing alarm clock suddenly rang, shattering the tranquility of the morning and waking Koki from her sweet dream.
He struggled to open his eyes, his blurry vision gradually focusing on the alarm clock on the bedside table.
The hour and minute hands stopped precisely at the starting point of the morning light—five o'clock sharp.
It's only five o'clock? A feeling of irritation welled up in Koki's heart.
You know, he's usually the kind of person who loves to sleep in the night.
He originally wanted to turn over and continue to indulge in his sweet dream, but a thought was like a bucket of cold water poured on him, instantly waking him up—today was the important day he had agreed to meet with Obito!
Upon thinking of this, Koki's sleepiness vanished instantly.
He quickly sat up straight, rubbing his sleepy eyes vigorously, hoping to wake up as quickly as possible.
Just then, he felt a gaze fixed on him. He turned around and saw that Itachi had woken up and was staring intently at Koki with his large, clear eyes, as clear as lake water.
Itachi lay on the bed, his small body barely visible beneath the warm blankets, only his bright eyes shining like twinkling stars in the first rays of morning sunlight.
His small face appeared exceptionally soft in the dim light, and although his hair was slightly messy, it added a touch of playfulness and cuteness.
His small mouth was slightly open, as if he had something to say.
"Itachi, why are you awake so early?" Koki's voice was tinged with surprise and affection.
Itachi blinked and gave a sweet smile, "Brother, I always wake up very early, didn't you know?"
Koki gently stroked Itachi's hair and replied tenderly, "Okay, okay, baby is the best. You can sleep a little longer. Your brother will come back this afternoon and play with you again."
Itachi nodded gently, then obediently lay back down in bed, clutching the corner of the blanket with his little hands, looking very well-behaved.
In the soft morning light, Koki witnessed Itachi's adorable appearance, and a gentle ripple of emotion stirred within her.
He gently leaned down and placed a tender kiss on Itachi's forehead, whispering, "Itachi, your brother will be back soon. Take good care of yourself today."
A satisfied smile graced Itachi's lips, and joy immediately shone in his eyes. He nodded vigorously, then with all his might, reached out and wrapped his arms around Koki's neck, returning a sweet kiss to his brother's cheek.
"Brother, come back soon! I'm waiting for you at home!" Itachi said obediently.
"Of course." Koki gently patted her younger brother's head again, smiling broadly, before turning and getting off the bed to begin her busy day.
Koki silently recited his plan for the day. He strode towards the living room, intending to eat first and then Obito, allowing him to enjoy a little more of his peaceful dreams.
However, the sight before him made him involuntarily stop in his tracks the moment he pushed open the living room door.
Inside the living room, Obito was already seated at the dining table, his posture upright, quite different from usual.
At the dining table, Shisui had meticulously prepared a sumptuous breakfast, its aroma enticing and its colors vibrant, instantly whetting one's appetite.
The fried eggs are golden and tempting, the pancakes are crispy and delicious, the fresh fruit is vibrant and juicy, and the steaming porridge is simply irresistible.
Every dish reveals Shisui's heartfelt sincerity and culinary skills.
However, what caught Koki's eye was not the delicious breakfast, but Obito's tired eyes.
His eyes were surrounded by heavy dark circles, like thick, dark clouds, obscuring Obito's usual energy and radiance.
Clearly, Obito hadn't gotten enough rest last night; his face was etched with worry and tension.
This... can't be, Obito not slept all night?
"Obito-nii, did you... not sleep well last night?" Koki asked with concern.
Obito looked up, forcing a smile to hide his exhaustion, "Yeah, I've been having a bit of insomnia, but it's okay, I'm ready."
Under Obito's words, Koki swallowed the suggestion she wanted to make. "Maybe we shouldn't go."
Koki walked over to Obito, gently patted his shoulder, offering silent support. "Don't worry, eat something first to replenish your energy so you can better face today's challenges."
Obito nodded slightly. Although his gaze was still somewhat unfocused, he slowly picked up his chopsticks and savored the breakfast that Shisui had carefully prepared.
The warmth of the food seemed to gradually dispel the gloom in his heart, his expression softened, and the light in his eyes slowly returned.
"Shall we go now that we're done eating?" Koki said expectantly, then winked playfully at Obito, Obito returned a wistful smile.
After a quick tidying up, the two embarked on their journey.
Koki stepped out of her house, opened her arms wide towards the rising sun, and embraced the world with great anticipation.
However, just as Koki had predicted, their journey was not as smooth as expected. From the moment they left their home, they kept encountering elderly women in need of help.
Each time, Koki and Obito would lend a helping hand without hesitation, assisting these elderly people to safely cross the streets or carry their belongings.
Their kindness and enthusiasm earned them praise from those around them, but it also caused their trip to be delayed time and time again. When they helped the twelfth old lady cross the street, Koki finally couldn't hold back any longer.
What a strange morning! Why are there so many elderly ladies out and about?!
Sure enough, the daily routines of the elderly are quite different from those of others!
"Obito-nii, we can't go on like this." Koki's tone was tinged with helplessness and anxiety. "This is the twelfth one already. If this continues, we might not even make it to our date."
Obito's gaze pierced through Koki's worries; his brow furrowed, and he was torn by inner turmoil.
He knew that Koki was right. Although he was unwilling, he still didn't want to be late for his date with Rin, which was his suggestion. However, his kindness wouldn't allow him to Obito the difficulties of others.
"Then what should we do?" Obito asked, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
