An Accident!
Obito gently stroked Koki's eyes to ease his pain, his gaze involuntarily drawn to Koki's beautiful face.
In the dim light, Koki's eyelashes trembled gently like the wings of a young butterfly, as if responding to Obito's caresses, Obito's fingertips gliding across Koki's skin.
Obito's attention became increasingly focused, his movements became gentler, and his eyes were filled only with Koki. Everything around him became blurry, and it seemed as if the whole world consisted only of him and Koki.
Obito himself didn't realize that a faint blush had crept up his ears, like the evening glow gently painting the horizon.
His heart was racing unconsciously, and his breathing was becoming increasingly rapid.
A strange emotion welled up in Obito's heart, warm yet unsettling, making him want to get closer to Koki, yet also want to escape this confusing place.
Obito struggled internally, trying to sort out his thoughts, but the unfamiliar yet intense emotion was like a tangled mess, leaving him unable to find a way out.
He didn't know why he felt this way, nor how to deal with this sudden surge of emotion.
Just then, Koki's eyelids twitched slightly, as if she was about to wake up, Obito's heart skipped a beat.
Is Koki about to wake up?
He quickly withdrew his hand, his expression turning panicked.
Why isn't the nurse here yet? Obito hurriedly sat up and pressed the call bell by the bed again.
He tried to appear calm, and just as Obito was trying to hide his inner turmoil, Koki on the hospital bed suddenly coughed softly, his lips moving slightly as if he were trying to say something.
Obito's gaze was immediately drawn to it; he stared intently at Koki, hoping to hear his words clearly.
But Koki's voice was extremely weak, Obito frowned, leaning forward anxiously, eager to hear what Koki was trying to say.
Obito bent down, bringing his ear close to Koki's lips, listening intently to the almost silent murmur.
The two became extremely close, almost able to feel each other's breath brushing against their cheeks.
Koki's breath was faint, carrying a faint scent of medicine, which made Obito's heart beat faster involuntarily.
However, at that moment, Obito suddenly realized the almost touching distance between them, and his body instantly froze.
Obito stared wide-eyed at Koki's face, able to clearly observe every detail, even counting the Koki eyelashes.
He could still feel Koki's every slight breath, as if he could hear his heartbeat.
Obito wanted to quickly close the distance between himself and Koki, but his movements appeared somewhat hasty and awkward.
Just as Obito was about to take action, Koki made a small, unintentional move that completely changed the entire situation.
Koki tilted his head slightly, his face inadvertently turning towards Obito.
Koki made this move completely naturally, without any warning or special intention.
Obito's movements froze in mid-air. [Deleted...]
It was a cool, crisp touch, like gently touching a snowflake that had just fallen on a cold winter day.
There seemed to be a faint smell of disinfectant on Koki, mixed with a hint of Yakumi.
The smell instantly blanked out Obito's mind, as if he had lost the ability to think.
His heartbeat stopped at that moment, and time seemed to stand still.
All his senses were captivated by this brief contact, and everything else became insignificant.
Obito was unable to react immediately; his body stiffened, his eyes widened, and he was at a loss for what to do.
Koki seemed unaware of the unexpected contact; his eyes remained closed, and his breathing was steady, as if nothing had happened.
Immediately afterwards, the atmosphere in the ward was broken by a sudden gust of wind, abruptly disrupting the tranquility of the ward and leaving behind the trace of a swift figure passing by.
Obito, like a frightened bird, hurriedly left the ward, his figure filled with panic and confusion.
The door slammed shut behind him, leaving behind a room full of silence and the sleeping Koki, who was completely unaware of what had just happened, still immersed in his dream.
Outside the ward, Obito's demeanor was completely different from his usual lively self.
He squatted alone on the ground, his hands tightly hugging his knees, his head buried deep between his legs, as if trying to find a safe haven from reality in that narrow space between his bodies.
His posture resembled that of a child who had made a mistake, receiving an invisible punishment, not daring to move an inch. Only his exposed ears, red as ripe apples, revealed the turmoil in his heart.
Obito's breathing was rapid and irregular, and his heartbeat resounded in his chest like a drum.
He tried to calm himself down, but the unexpected touch was like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples that lingered for a long time.
His thoughts were in turmoil; he didn't know how to face all of this, let alone how to face Koki.
After the nurse completed her routine check-up on Koki, she silently left the ward, while Obito remained unchanged.
The nurse gave Obito a curious look but didn't ask any questions; she simply left silently.
Just then, Shisui walked over from a distance, and Obito's eyes met Shisui's. At that moment, he felt as if he had found a savior!
A flicker of gratitude crossed his eyes, and he quickly said to Shisui, "Shisui, I have urgent business to attend to. Please look after Koki here."
Before Shisui could even reply, Obito hurriedly rushed out of the hospital.
"Obito-nii?..." Shisui watched Obito's departing figure, his brows furrowing slightly. He sensed something was wrong with Obito, but he didn't know exactly what had happened.
Shaking his head, Shisui quietly Earth Flow the ward, making almost no sound.
He came to Koki's bedside and gazed tenderly at her sleeping figure.
Shisui reached out and gently tidied up the blankets for Koki, making sure he could rest comfortably. His movements were meticulous and thoughtful, smoothing out every tiny wrinkle, and his fingers lingered lightly on Koki's shoulder.
Then, Shisui quietly sat down on the chair by the bed.
He sat there quietly, keeping Koki, as if time itself had slowed down, just so they could enjoy this tranquility.
