Koki Wakes Up~
Koki slowly opened her eyes from her coma. The surrounding light and shadows intertwined, like a hazy dream.
He felt as if he had slept for a very long time, his thoughts still immersed in that long darkness, and for a moment he couldn't figure out where he was.
Where am I?
Koki blinked with some difficulty, trying to clear her vision.
As she tried to recall what had happened, Koki suddenly felt a wave of weakness wash over her, as if every muscle had been drained of its strength.
My head was spinning, as if shrouded in a fog, and my consciousness was somewhat hazy.
He felt a tightness in his chest, as if a huge boulder was pressing down on his heart, making him want to take deep breaths.
With each breath, a sharp pain shot through the wound on his abdomen, as if a red-hot blade was constantly churning within him.
"Hiss..." Koki gasped, his face turning deathly pale. The intense pain was unbearable, and he didn't even have the strength to move a finger.
He frowned deeply, gritted his teeth, and a fine layer of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"Damn, this really hurts!" Koki cursed inwardly. Despite being extremely weak, he still tried his best to figure out his current condition.
He struggled to turn his eyes, casting his gaze upon the anxious group of people beside the bed, those familiar yet unfamiliar faces.
Koki tried to open his mouth, wanting to ask them what had happened, but just as he was about to speak, a strong burning sensation surged up his throat, as if it were being roasted by a raging fire, and it felt as dry as if it were being roughly rubbed with sandpaper.
Every attempt to speak would trigger a violent cough, a pain that felt like coughing up his internal organs.
Sweat dripped from his forehead, soaking his hair and causing strands to cling to his pale cheeks. His hands gripped the sheets tightly beneath him, his knuckles white from the exertion.
Those around her were heartbroken to see how weak Koki was.
Mikoto's eyes reddened slightly. Holding a handkerchief, she gently wiped the sweat from Koki's forehead. Her movements were extremely meticulous, as if she were carefully protecting the most precious and fragile treasure in the world.
With each gentle wipe, her hands trembled slightly, and her eyes revealed deep worry and boundless love.
Upon Obito rushed out without hesitation to seek the doctor's help.
His footsteps echoed hurriedly in the empty corridor. He had only one thought in his mind: to get the doctor here as soon as possible and to reduce Koki's pain.
Shisui had already prepared water. He carefully used a cotton swab to moisten Koki's dry lips, his eyes filled with concern, afraid that any movement he made might cause Koki discomfort.
Next, he fed Koki water sip by sip with a spoon, so that he could replenish his fluids and energy.
Itachi held Koki's hand tightly, his palm conveying warmth and strength. His bright eyes were filled with heartache as he stared at his brother without blinking.
His eyes were filled with tears, his brows were furrowed, and he bit his lip, as if he were bearing all of Koki's pain for her. His voice trembled as he softly called out to Koki, hoping she could feel his presence and support. "Brother..."
Itachi's tears slid down his cheeks and dripped onto Koki's hand, his gaze never leaving his brother.
Fugaku stood to the side, talking to Tsunade about Koki's condition. Tsunade glanced at the poor child on the bed and sighed deeply.
The ward was filled with tension and chaos. After a flurry of activity, the doctor rushed in, examined the patient carefully, gave a series of instructions, and then slowly left.
Finally, Koki's condition gradually stabilized.
He lay weakly on the bed, each breath seeming so difficult, as if all his strength had been drained away.
At this moment, as her consciousness gradually cleared, Koki slowly recalled the harrowing moment Obito from a knife attack before she lost consciousness.
Koki turned her head with difficulty, her gaze falling on Obito, who stood bewildered to the side.
Obito stood to the side, his expression full of guilt and remorse, his hands constantly rubbing the hem of his clothes.
Seeing that Obito was safe and sound, Koki breathed a sigh of relief.
However, Koki frowned slightly as he suddenly noticed that the goggles Obito always wore were gone.
Now that Obito's Obito were gone, his full face was revealed.
Those delicate features, that straight nose, and those bright eyes—he was so handsome.
That's true. The Uchiha Clan has always been known for its good looks, and besides, Obito is an important figure in this world, so how could he be ugly?
Koki tried to find a bittersweet feeling in her heart, attempting to alleviate the pain in her body with this thought.
With Koki regaining consciousness, the atmosphere in the ward became much more relaxed. However, Koki's thoughts drifted away involuntarily. He recalled the moments he had spent with Obito. Despite the immense pain he was enduring, it seemed that everything was worthwhile as long as the people around him were safe and well.
After drinking the water, Koki's dry throat seemed to receive a brief respite.
He weakly raised his head, his gaze slowly sweeping over the crowd, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Koki opened his mouth with difficulty, wanting to say something, but the words caught in his throat. "Obito... cough cough cough... Obito-nii, are you, cough cough, are you alright?" He asked in a hoarse voice between coughs, each word sounding so strained.
The coughing came like a tidal wave, one wave after another, without any sign of stopping. His body trembled involuntarily, and his speech became intermittent.
Her originally fair face was now shrouded in a faint blush, like the sunset glow on the horizon, giving off a poignant and beautiful feeling.
Sweat soaked his hair, and the wet strands clung to his cheeks, making him look even more pitiful.
Those eyes, which had once shone brightly, were now dull and lifeless due to the extreme weakness of the body, losing their former luster.
Obito heard Koki's concerned question, his nose tingled, his eyes instantly welled up with tears, and he almost couldn't hold back his tears.
He stood there, rooted to the spot, staring at the frail and weak Koki on the hospital bed. His heart felt as if it had been pierced by a thousand arrows, filled with guilt and heartache. For a moment, he didn't know how to respond.
Shisui looked at the stunned Obito, sighed helplessly, and pushed him. Obito stumbled and was pushed to the side of Koki's bed.
Obito then seemed to snap out of his daze. Not wanting Koki to worry about him, he quickly coughed twice, trying to appear calm.
He joked in a deliberately lighthearted tone, "What could possibly be wrong with me? You, on the other hand, you'd better get better soon!"
But as he finished speaking, his tone weakened, and he unconsciously choked up, his voice trembling slightly, almost on the verge of crying.
Koki Obito's reply, Koki managed a weak smile, a smile that seemed to have exhausted all his strength.
His gaze was fixed on Obito, a thousand words surging within him, but a more violent cough interrupted his speech once again.
"Koki..." Obito quickly reached out and gently patted Koki's back, trying to help him relieve the pain of coughing.
His eyes were filled with heartache, and tears welled up in his eyes, but he desperately held them back.
The others in the ward watched silently. Mikoto covered her mouth, tears silently streaming down her face. Itachi clenched his small fists, his eyes revealing worry, while Shisui stood quietly to the side, his brows furrowed, his face full of heartache.
