Three Years
Three years passed in the blink of an eye, like a fleeting dream. When I awoke from the dream, I suddenly realized how quickly time had flown by.
Those days and nights that once seemed incredibly long now appear to have passed in the blink of an eye.
Konoha once again welcomed a cold winter. Dense snowflakes drifted down from the sky, transforming the entire village into a silver-clad world. The trees lining the streets were covered with glistening icicles.
The winter wind howled fiercely, sweeping through the streets and alleys, making people feel the biting cold. Pedestrians on the road wrapped themselves tightly in thick cotton-padded clothes and hurried along, as if they wanted to escape the cold weather as soon as possible.
Koki, Shisui, and Itachi walked together through the streets of Konoha.
Koki held Itachi's small hand tightly, looked down at her adorable little brother, and a smile involuntarily appeared on her lips.
Itachi has now grown into a beautifully sculpted man, with an exquisite face that is endearing to all, especially his deep, dark eyes, which sparkle with a lively light like twinkling stars.
At this moment, Itachi's little face was slightly reddened by the winter wind, making him look even more adorable. However, his eyes revealed a composure and maturity far beyond his age, as if he had experienced the trials of many years.
Itachi keenly sensed the warm gaze his older brother Koki, cast upon him. So, he slightly raised his head and, through the dappled light, met Koki's gentle eyes.
In an instant, a warm and sweet smile bloomed on his face, like spring flowers. That smile lacked his usual composure and precociousness, and contained only a childlike innocence and dependence.
His eyes curved into crescent moons, and the upturn of his lips was just right; it was as if his smile brightened everything around him.
Only in front of Koki can Itachi reveal his sweetest side without reservation, as if his brother is his whole world, his eternal support and warm harbor.
Koki skipped Earth Flow, full of curiosity about every falling snowflake, occasionally reaching out to catch it.
He chuckled to himself, realizing that he was mentally the oldest person in the world, yet he was becoming more and more like a child. But the snow was really fun; he had never seen such large snowflakes in his modern life!
Koki couldn't resist rushing to the front, as happy as a joyful little bird, her bright smile seemingly able to dispel the cold air.
Following closely Shisui, Shisui's gaze followed the vibrant Koki, and the corners of Shisui's mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly, his heart also infected by Koki's joy.
After a while, he turned his head and looked at Itachi, who was also staring at Koki.
"Little Itachi, it's so cold. You don't need to pick up your brother every day after school. You train so hard every day, you should give yourself more rest time," Shisui kindly advised.
Upon hearing this, Itachi did not answer immediately. He looked at Shisui with cold eyes, silently conveying an indifference that left no room for argument.
Shisui was used to Itachi's cold reaction; he simply shrugged casually, a faint smile still playing on his lips.
He knew Itachi too well; this child possessed a maturity and determination far beyond his years, and once he made a decision, it was very difficult to change it.
Before long, the three of them returned to the Uchiha's territory.
Here, the houses are arranged in a pleasing and orderly manner, and the streets are clean and tidy, giving people a comfortable and pleasant feeling. At dusk, it exudes a sense of tranquil beauty.
"Koki, you're so happy again today!" an old man said with a smile.
"Of course, Grandpa!" Koki replied cheerfully.
"Shisui, Itachi, you're back too!" A ninja nearby waved to them.
Shisui smiled and replied, "Yes, I just finished class."
The three of them walked together through the clan's territory. Whether it was a hardworking commoner or a ninja passing by in a hurry, everyone would greet them warmly when they saw them.
Koki's lively and cheerful personality always makes him the first to respond to greetings. His bright smile and clear, melodious voice bring immense joy to others, and Shisui always responds with a gentle smile in return.
Although Itachi's face was cold, as if he naturally possessed an aloof air, he would still politely nod when greeted by his clansmen. That slight nod, though not as enthusiastic as Koki's and Shisui's, still conveyed his respect.
"You've changed so much in these three years, Koki," Shisui couldn't help but remark.
"Yes."
"That's nice." Shisui gently stroked Koki's hair.
"Yeah~" Koki playfully wrinkled her small nose.
Over the past three years, the Uchiha Clan has undergone tremendous changes, as if they have climbed step by step from the abyss of darkness onto the bright road.
Looking back, the Uchiha Clan was misunderstood, ostracized, and hated. The faces of the clan members were often shrouded in gloom, with worry and anxiety like an inescapable shadow. Happiness seemed like a distant dream to them.
However, the Uchiha Clan has now become the most enviable force in Konoha, and the happiness index of its members has skyrocketed.
That crucial meeting three years ago became a turning point in their lives.
Since then, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Koharu, and En, those who harbored malice towards the Uchiha Clan, no longer appeared around Danzo Sarutobi.
Perhaps because he lost the instigation of these extremist forces, perhaps because he was intimidated by the power of Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan, or perhaps because of Hiruzen Sarutobi's own cowardice, he never bothered the Uchiha Clan again.
After that meeting, Tsunade also chose to stay in the village.
The re-election of advisors and the reform of the Six Ministries were fraught with challenges and difficulties. During this process, the struggle between various forces was extremely fierce, and the clash of different ideas made every discussion tense and Yakumi.
Issues such as the rational allocation of resources, the delicate balance of power, and the cultivation of talent all require careful consideration and decisive decision-making.
However, as time went on, the results of the reforms gradually became apparent.
The previously chaotic management situation began to become orderly, and inefficient departments were revitalized.
At the same time, the talent selection mechanism has become more fair and just, providing more opportunities for the younger generation to showcase their talents.
Today, the Uchiha Clan still firmly holds the important responsibility of the Military Police Force.
However, compared to the past, the composition of personnel within the department has undergone significant changes.
Not only did ninjas from other clans join, but many ninjas from commoner backgrounds also began to distinguish themselves.
These ordinary ninjas felt grateful to the Uchiha Clan, because it was the Uchiha Clan that gave them the valuable opportunity to join the Military Police Force.
This transformation brought new vitality and hope, and also solidified the Uchiha Clan's position.
In the past, the relationship between the Uchiha Clan and the villagers was like an insurmountable chasm, filled with suspicion, fear, and hostility.
The hostile gazes were like sharp blades, mercilessly piercing the hearts of every member of the tribe, causing them endless pain and helplessness.
As time went by, that deep divide gradually disappeared, and most of the villagers no longer held such prejudice and hostility towards the Uchiha Clan.
Under the influence of this positive atmosphere, the people in the clan, especially the ninjas who shoulder heavy responsibilities, also experienced a dramatic change in their mood, gradually no longer shrouded in heavy resentment.
In the past, the Uchiha Clan carried too much hatred and resentment. These negative emotions made their hearts extremely heavy. They were filled with anger and dissatisfaction towards the world, and even felt despair about their own fate.
But now, all of that is quietly changing.
This volume might be slightly faster-paced.
I don't have an outline or anything like that.
My current plan is to go to school (I'll write about Genin Academy, not much) -- graduate early -- go on a mission -- the Third Shinobi World War (I haven't decided how to write it yet, I'll just go through it here) -- then it'll be the Sengoku period (Madara, Izuna, Tobirama) -- then it'll be the Fourth Shinobi World War (I want to write about Dei Sasuke here, hehe) -- and then it can be the grand finale.
This volume will feature Minato, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Tsunade (Sannin), Kabuto Yakushi, Nagato, Konan, Yahiko (the Land of Rain Frog Squad), Hanzō, Sasori, Granny Chiyo, the A–B Combo, Madara, and others. It will also include a section on the Land of Rain, a pitiful nation. After Naruto agreed to Pain's request, the Land of Rain didn't care, and the matter was eventually dropped. Of course, it will also touch upon the major nations during the Third Shinobi World War.
Then, I'm also thinking of writing about the theatrical version, which will involve the Ryūmyaku, specifically the Queen of Roran (mainly because some readers said they wanted to see Kimimaro and Haku, but the timing didn't work out, so I added the Ryūmyaku part; it's similar to a quick transmigration story. Currently, Gaara and Sunagakure, and the Ryūmyaku is right next to the Land of Wind. Also, Kimimaro, Haku, emmm, feel free to leave a comment if you have any other requests. Naruto could make a cameo appearance in the Ryūmyaku section.)
P. S.: Of course, this is just what I'm thinking right now~ Feel free to leave a comment if there are any plot points you'd like to see, and I'll see them as long as they're not deleted~
P. S.: Several comments at the end of yesterday's chapter were deleted. They showed a lot, but none of them were visible when clicked.
P. S.: Because there's a word limit in the author's notes, I've included these in the main text.
