Crossover: In Little Garden, Becoming a God Through Once Proven, Forever Proven
Caesar looked at Qin Qi. He had a feeling this had probably been Qin Qi's doing.
Qin Qi explained the situation briefly, and Caesar quickly understood and accepted it.
"I only have one question. Why was I invited by a truck drifting into me and sending me flying?"
"JoJo got a letter for his invitation, but I got that? Talk about different treatment! Who did it?"
Caesar was thoroughly annoyed.
Chapter 39: Caesar: You're an Orphan, I'm Not. I Still Have Brothers and Sisters!
"That's not important. It was just a way to invite you. What matters is what you're going to do here."
"JoJo, Caesar, now that the Pillar Men have been wiped out, you don't have anything to do. How about joining me and making something of yourselves here?"
Qin Qi laughed it off and changed the subject. He had no choice but to change it; he couldn't very well say he'd wanted to screw over his bro.
"I don't mind. From what you've told me, this world sounds pretty interesting. I'd like to have an adventure here."
"But I have to go back and look after my brothers and sisters after work. We're a big family."
"And I have a few dates to get to."
Caesar had several younger brothers and sisters. Some had grown up, but there were still children who needed looking after.
"Sea king? No! Sea god!"
Qin Qi had wanted to roast Caesar's view of romance for a long time. This guy wasn't dating several women at once, but more than a dozen!
Whenever a girl was lonely, he couldn't resist going over to comfort her, and he even thought he was being a gentleman!
Caesar, the born sea god!
"None of that's a problem. I have a space-time gate that can be opened once a day. You can go back whenever you want."
"And I need to do business over there too," Qin Qi said. "Medicine, daily necessities, food, handicrafts, technology, and so on can all be brought here to sell."
"Some of the magical Gifts here can also be taken over there and sold in exchange for sufficient funds and connections."
"What's a Gift?"
"And I have to go back too. Lisa Lisa... Oh, right, you brat, stay away from my mom from now on!"
Joseph immediately recalled something that had really pissed him off earlier. He looked at Qin Qi and spoke angrily.
"Didn't JoJo's mother die a long time ago?"
Caesar froze for a moment and asked in confusion. Joseph had previously told him that his parents had died long ago.
"That's what I thought too, but then I found out Lisa Lisa was actually my mother!"
"For certain reasons, she changed her name and came to live in Venice. She had no choice but to leave me in Grandma Erina's care."
Even Joseph couldn't help scratching his head as he got to that part. Just talking about it felt like such a hassle.
"Isn't that good? At least you still have your mom. On that count, you're better off than the two of us orphans."
Qin Qi patted Joseph's arm and smiled.
"Sorry, I'm not an orphan. My father and mother may both be gone, but I still have brothers and sisters."
Caesar silently moved away from Qin Qi and stood beside Joseph. You might be an orphan, but I'm not.
Smiling one moment, not smiling the next.
"Right now, I want to punch you both and send you flying."
The smile vanished from Qin Qi's face. Caesar, what kind of hellish thing was that to say?
"Whew. All right, let's drop that. I'll give you a detailed introduction to Gifts and Gift Games."
"Gifts, as the name suggests, are special abilities you possess. They can be of higher or lower rank, stronger or weaker; each one is different."
"Or they can be formed from multiple factors, such as your achievements and existence. Well, it's complicated."
"Gift Games are contests fought using Gifts. You can wager a lot of things, including the Gifts you possess."
Qin Qi briefly explained the basics of the world of Little Garden and told Caesar and Joseph about his Community.
"So, would you two like to join my Community?"
Qin Qi held out his hand in invitation.
"You already called us brothers, so what else is there to say?"
"We're in."
Joseph and Caesar clasped Qin Qi's hand. Young men had lofty aspirations. They had been born extraordinary, so how could they possibly live ordinary lives forever?
Over the next while, Qin Qi, Joseph, and Caesar discussed some business matters.
Caesar didn't know much about the subject, but Joseph seemed to have a talent for it in his blood.
Although he had never dealt with business before, he could keenly spot opportunities to make money and offered several ideas that could be called unconventional.
"All right, that's enough for now. I'll have someone show you around the area. Once you've had your fill of sightseeing, I'll send you back."
After Qin Qi and the others had talked for a while, he found a few people to act as guides and take JoJo and Caesar out to familiarize themselves with the area.
Joseph and Caesar went out for a look around, while Black Rabbit returned with her purchases.
"Look, manager, isn't it cute?"
Black Rabbit happily brought out what she had bought. It was a rabbit statue holding something like a plate in its hands.
"Put the bunny on the table, then put the Eye of Water in the plate in its hands."
"See? Isn't it pretty? It looks just like a blue moon!"
Black Rabbit looked at her handiwork and grinned. She loved it so much. If she could afford it,
she would definitely buy a set for herself and put it by her bed.
"Sure, let's leave it like that."
Qin Qi took a look. It was fine. They were just finding something to hold the bead anyway, so anything would do.
"Black Rabbit, come with me to the Forest Market again in a bit. We need to make a slight change to our previous plan."
Qin Qi spoke.
"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
Black Rabbit tilted her head as she looked at Qin Qi. She thought his previous plan was quite good, so why did he want to change it?
"Nothing's wrong. I've just come up with a better idea."
"Rabbit, let me ask you: how many people have lost their places in Little Garden City and chosen to wander the lands of Little Garden outside?"
As Qin Qi spoke, he led Black Rabbit out of the shop.
"Mm, lots and lots. Black Rabbit doesn't know exactly how many."
Black Rabbit spoke. In fact, their No Name Community had once been in danger of falling apart completely and being forced to leave Little Garden City to wander.
Fortunately, White Night Yaksha had stepped in to help, allowing them to hold on until now, but they were still on the brink of ruin.
"Exactly. Those people may be wanderers, but that doesn't mean they have no value."
"I plan to build some treehouses in the forest and let travelers rest in them for free. The returns won't be high at first."
"But as time goes by, more and more travelers, merchants, and outside communities, towns, and countries will pass through here."
"Gradually, this will develop into a route that merchant caravans and travelers are bound to take. You see what I mean, right?"
What Qin Qi intended to do was create a trade route outside, linking the towns, countries, and communities there together.
The Forest Market was the beginning. Afterward, he would select places in good locations and establish a series of nodes.
And all those places held enormous business opportunities!
"No, not really."
Black Rabbit hadn't understood Qin Qi. She couldn't see the value hidden in this trade route, but since the manager said so, she thought it must be something amazing.
Chapter 40: A Community of Water Spirits, the Fairy Pixie!
"It doesn't matter if you don't understand. As long as I do, that's enough. Just help me translate."
Qin Qi took Black Rabbit to the Forest Market.
By now, the Forest Market had begun to take shape. A river running through the entire forest guided the way.
Farmland and waterways could be seen everywhere, filling the place with life and tranquility. Walking along the road, one could see animals and people living together in harmony.
One could see the phantom beasts frolicking in the water and people working hard in the fields.
"It's so nice. Every time I come here, I feel happier."
Black Rabbit took a deep breath. Who would have thought that, not long ago, this had been a dangerous, gloomy forest?
"The manager really is amazing."
Black Rabbit looked at Qin Qi. Remembering how he had united the entire forest through his own efforts, she couldn't help but get stars in her eyes.
At the same time, she said the rest in her heart: If only he could join our Community.
"Human, long time no see."
"Human, look, isn't the farmland I've been tending growing well?"
"Human, come give me a hug."
When the animals and phantom beasts around them saw Qin Qi arrive, they happily crowded around him, all talking at once.
Qin Qi smiled and talked with each of them. Before long, news of his arrival spread throughout the forest.
The unicorn came looking for him with several friends.
"My friend, long time no see."
The unicorn stepped forward and lowered his head slightly to touch Qin Qi, showing his affection as he spoke.
"Long time no see, unicorn."
"Have you been living well in your new home lately?"
Qin Qi asked with a smile.
"Mm, the lake is beautiful, and the glow of the moonlight flowers is lovely too. Being here feels just like being home."
"My friend, thank you for everything you've done."
As the unicorn spoke, a hint of dejection appeared in his eyes. In his heart, Qin Qi was excellent in wisdom, strength, and character alike.
He should join Qin Qi's Community and serve it, but his past experiences made it impossible for him to make that choice lightly.
He felt somewhat guilty that he couldn't repay Qin Qi.
"There's no need for that. This is what we agreed on: you work for me, and I help create a good living environment for you."
"If anyone should be giving thanks, it's me. The unicorn masks and holy water masks we made before earned me a fortune."
Qin Qi spoke.
"Whew."
Seeing Qin Qi like this made the unicorn feel even guiltier. "My friend, there are a few people I'd like to introduce to you."
"This is a water spirit. She and her companions want to live in the streams and lakes of our forest."
