Multiverse: In Little Garden, Becoming a God Through Once Proven, Forever Proven
As the unicorn spoke, a fist-sized little girl in a pale blue dress flew out from behind it.
"U-um, could we please ask you to let us live here?"
The little girl looked very shy as she spoke.
"A group of water spirits, huh... Sure, you can live in the streams and rivers in the forest."
"But in exchange, you'll have to help me look after the water and the nearby farmland. You'll also need to stop anyone other than me and my subordinates from taking water."
Qin Qi thought it over and agreed. Water spirits were spirits of water, and experts at controlling and caring for it.
With them around, he wouldn't have to worry about anything going wrong with the forest's water quality. In fact, with their care, the water would become exceptionally clean.
The fertile fields tended with such water would become even more fertile.
"Thank you. You're such a good person."
The water spirit immediately looked delighted. She flew up and gave Qin Qi a gentle hug. "We'll definitely fulfill our responsibilities."
"I believe you. Here, have some candy."
Qin Qi produced a piece of candy from who knew where and offered it to the tiny water spirit.
"Candy! It's sweet! I want some too, I want some too!"
"Let me have a taste!"
"Boo-hoo, I want some too!"
The next second, many water spirits came out from all directions. They had hidden themselves earlier because they were afraid, but now that they saw Qin Qi wasn't a bad person, they flew out.
"There's enough for everyone."
Qin Qi patiently gave each of the little ones a piece of candy, then signed a contract with them with Black Rabbit as witness.
"Thank you, human."
"Human is nice. I like you."
"Hug!"
The water spirits took turns hugging Qin Qi and used their powers to give him the blessing of water, granting him a strong affinity for it.
At the same time, creatures associated with water would also feel fond of Qin Qi.
"Thank you. If you want any more snacks in the future, you can tell me anytime. I'll make sure you have plenty."
Qin Qi could now seemingly sense the moisture in the air directly. If he learned any water-attribute abilities, he would surely be a genius among geniuses!
"Hey, buddy, got any more candy? Share some with us girls."
"Oh, a rabbit! Didn't expect to find one here."
"Let me rub your ears and see how they feel."
Meanwhile, many fairies the size of children came out on the other side. They had wings on their backs.
Unlike the shy water spirits from before, these fairies were total social terrors-social terrorists!
"Scarlet hair, green eyes, little green dresses, and identical faces. I never expected pixies to grace my place with their presence."
Qin Qi looked at the little ones, a gentle smile still on his face. He paid no mind to how readily they acted familiar with him.
He casually brought out candy and shared it with the fairies.
"P-please don't play pranks on a rabbit for no reason."
Black Rabbit was somewhat ill at ease. The fairies had started playing pranks on her, and her reactions only made them happier.
"Buddy, you're all right. I've got a good feeling about you."
"We heard this unicorn say you're opening a forest market here, right? Can us girls settle down here?"
A pixie spoke while eating her candy and casually patting Qin Qi's leg.
"Of course. I also have a great plan I'd like to work with the pixies on."
Qin Qi spoke.
Pixies were a type of fairy that lived in groups. They were incredibly numerous and loved traveling all over the place.
Pixies could be found in all four major regions-east, south, west, and north-and even on land outside Little Garden.
They also loved gossip. They could be called a massive information community, second only to Laplace's Little Demon.
Pixies also loved making friends, and their friends could be found everywhere. Because of this, they had even established fairy markets exclusively for groups such as fairies and spirits.
The fact that these pixies were staying here meant they planned to turn this place into a branch of the fairy market.
"A great plan? What kind of great plan? Let's hear it."
The pixie asked curiously.
"I plan to build treehouses here later and let passersby stay in them for free. And these free treehouses..."
"I'll create more of them farther away, in more places. As traveling fairies, the pixies should be interested in that, right?"
"Would you like to work with me to create a traveling fairy market on the land outside the East Side?"
Qin Qi spoke.
"Hmm... Attracting travelers and merchants by offering free lodgings. At first glance, it looks like a losing business, but once word gets around over time, it'll become a trade route."
"Whoever controls the trade route will have enormous wealth. That's a pretty good proposal, young man."
"You're telling us all this. Aren't you afraid we'll steal your business?"
"With our strength, you know, it wouldn't be hard for us to do it ourselves."
The pixie looked at Qin Qi and spoke with a grin.
The second simulation starts next chapter. That really took a long time!
Chapter 41: The Second Life Simulation, The Outcast World!
"If I were worried about that, I wouldn't have told you. So, Miss Pixie, would you like to work together?"
Qin Qi still wore a gentle, polite smile as he spoke.
"You've got guts, young man. Good! I like people like you. Let's be friends."
Smiling, the pixie reached out and plucked off one of her wings, then handed it to Qin Qi. "Here, a symbol of friendship."
"Thank you."
Qin Qi took it, and the next second, the wing turned into a pin bearing a large portrait of a pixie's face. He put the pin on his clothes.
This was the pixies' mark. Wearing it would earn you the friendship of fairies, all kinds of fairies.
It also gave free access to pixie gossip newspapers and information, making it quite useful.
"Since you've given me a gift, Miss Pixie, I should give you one in return."
Qin Qi took a gold coin out of his pocket. It wasn't a coin issued by Thousand Eyes, but one that represented Qin Qi himself.
He handed the gold coin to the pixie, signifying that they had reached an agreement to cooperate and were now friends.
"I like your attitude. Don't worry, we won't steal your business. We're not that kind of fairy."
"The trade route is still yours, and we'll give you plenty of help. But we want to open a branch at every location. That's no problem, right?"
The pixie spoke.
"That's fine. I'm also willing to give you a ten percent ownership stake in the future trade route, as a sign of my sincerity."
"But during construction, you must listen to me. That's something I absolutely can't compromise on."
Qin Qi nodded as he spoke.
"Deal."
"All right, I'm really happy today. Let's have a feast!"
Pixies loved drinking and holding feasts. They could throw a feast for any reason at all.
Over the time that followed, Qin Qi discussed many things with the pixies and the others during the feast. He also made detailed arrangements for the plan to turn the forest into a market.
It wasn't until the next morning that Qin Qi and the others returned to the shop.
"Manager, my head hurts. Those pixies can really drink, can't they?"
Black Rabbit was holding Qin Qi's arm and leaning against him as she staggered forward. The night before, those pixies had made her drink who knew how much alcohol.
After getting up that morning, she was still groggy, and it felt as though the world was spinning around her.
"Is it really that bad? You're a Moon Rabbit, after all, and you couldn't handle that much? You're pretty lousy at this."
Qin Qi was perfectly fine. He had dealt with all the alcohol using Hamon and Spin. It looked like he had drunk it, but he hadn't actually consumed any of it; he had expelled it all.
"That wasn't ordinary alcohol. It was probably special liquor brewed by fairies. Otherwise, Black Rabbit wouldn't be like this."
"But come to think of it, Manager, why are you completely fine?"
Black Rabbit looked at Qin Qi in confusion. Even someone with her constitution had been knocked down, so why was Qin Qi completely fine?
"Maybe it's because I'm in good health. All right, let's not talk about that. I'm giving you the day off, so go home and get some rest."
Qin Qi laughed it off, then opened the shop door.
"Welcome back, Master."
Leticia had already returned to the shop. Still wearing her blue-and-white maid outfit, she was cleaning with a broom in hand.
"Good morning, Leticia."
Qin Qi entered the shop and set Black Rabbit down. "Could you run an errand for me and buy some breakfast?"
"There's no need. As your maid, I've already prepared breakfast for you. Ta-da!"
Leticia trotted into the kitchen, then brought out the soup and dishes she had prepared beforehand.
Though she still had her usual expressionless look, a trace of pride could be seen on her face.
"It's good, but don't make soup next time. I'm more used to Chinese food. Just make me some millet porridge and buy a couple of steamed buns, filled or plain."
Qin Qi sat down and started eating. It tasted pretty good, but in the morning, he still preferred millet porridge and steamed buns.
"I... I can't believe I didn't consider Master's food preferences. What a failure. I'm an unqualified maid!"
"At this rate, I'll be fired! The community will collapse, and everyone will... It's over, and it's all Leticia's fault."
Leticia immediately crouched in the corner, clutching her head in both hands with a look of despair, muttering under her breath.
"She takes things too seriously. It's just a small matter. Does she really have to get like this?"
Qin Qi shook his head. Leticia did her maid duties well, and she did everything else well too. She could be called an excellent employee.
The only problem was that she took things too seriously and habitually took all the blame upon herself, always thinking it was her fault.
After he finished eating, the newspaper arrived.
The plague in the North Side had stopped, but the unrest had officially begun. The various communities had started fighting over who would become the successor.
"That's no surprise. Now I just need to wait quietly for the right opportunity."
Qin Qi had prepared enough handicrafts. He only needed to wait a little longer before selling them.
"Hmm, the weather in the East Side... It probably won't be long before the drought comes."
Qin Qi looked at the weather forecasts for the next few days and silently calculated that, in a few months at most, the East Side would enter a drought.
The water he had stockpiled would turn into flowing gold.
After reading the newspaper, Qin Qi had Leticia bring him his subordinates' reports. During this period, they had secured Floor Master rights over more than ten Outer Gates.
Meanwhile, as the vampire army grew stronger, that number continued to rise at an increasing rate.
