After the event ended, people left the hall in twos and threes.

"Are you satisfied now?" Phrolova glared at him, his voice as cold as ice.

"Satisfied, extremely satisfied." Kexi wiped away tears of laughter and gave a thumbs up. "Phrolova, you're a fucking musical genius. This cotton-fluffing is way more exciting than your classical music."

Phrolova was furious and raised her hand to slap Ke Xi. Kexi didn't dodge, but instead took half a step forward and brought her face closer.

"Hit me, go ahead and hit me." He looked at her with a smile, his voice full of provocation, "If you hit me, I won't let you get away with it."

Phrolova's hand froze in mid-air, unsure whether to strike or retract. Kexi took another step forward, the two so close they could smell each other's scent. He lowered his voice and slowed his speech.

"How about it, want to give it a try?"

Phrolova's chest heaved violently, his head buzzing with anger.

She lowered her hand, turned her face away, and refused to look at him.

Kexi's gaze slid down her arm and suddenly fixed on her hand.

Dark red blood seeped from the palm of her left hand, and it was already half-dried.

"What happened to your hand?" Kexi frowned.

Phrolova put his hands behind his back and said in a stiff voice, "I don't need your pretense."

Give me your hand.

Phrolova remained still.

"Give me."

Still no movement.

"Hurry up!"

Phrolova remained standing, like a stone statue. Kexi lost her patience and reached out to grab her arm.

Phrolova struggled, but couldn't break free.

Kexi turned her wrist over and saw the cut on her palm from the broken porcelain. The wound wasn't deep, but it was long, with some small shards embedded in the edges; it looked painful.

"With so much blood, didn't you know how to bandage it?" Kexi's voice rose, filled with uncontrollable anger. "Do you think you can hurt yourself just because you're tough?"

Phrolova turned her face further away, her lips pressed into a thin line, her voice so soft it was almost inaudible. "I don't need your pity."

Upon hearing this, Kexi became even angrier. He slapped her across the face. It wasn't hard, but the sound was crisp and loud, particularly jarring in the empty hall.

Phrolova was knocked to the side by the blow, completely stunned. She slowly turned her face back, her eyes filled with disbelief.

"Who's pitying you?" Kexi looked at her, her tone fierce and urgent. "You're mine now. How can you serve me if you don't take care of your health?"

After saying that, he ignored her reaction and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Luna!"

Luna trotted in, a smile on her face, "Young Master."

"Go, bring the medicine box over here."

"Young Master, Luna can handle this." Luna glanced at Phrolova's hand and volunteered.

"Stop talking nonsense to me." Kexi didn't even turn her head. "Are you trying to teach me how to do things? Hurry up and get it."

"Yes, young master." Luna shrank back, turned and ran away.

A short while later, Luna brought over the first-aid kit and placed it on the table next to her.

Kexi pulled Phrolova to a chair and pressed her shoulders to make her sit down.

Phrolova tried to stand up, but was driven back down by a glare from him.

"Don't touch anything." Kexi opened the first-aid kit, rummaging through it for disinfectant and gauze. "Or I'll slap you again."

Phrolova stopped moving. She sat in the chair, head down, her injured hand pulled by Kexi and placed on his knee.

Kexi first used tweezers to carefully remove the shards of porcelain from her wound, her movements not gentle, but very meticulous. Phrolova's fingertips curled slightly in pain, but she bit her lip and remained silent.

Her mind was in complete turmoil.

She didn't know what was going on.

She was surprised to find that this person, who constantly threatened her and even hit her fiercely, was unusually gentle.

A feeling I've never had before.

When the disinfectant touched the wound, her arm reflexively recoiled. Kexi gripped her wrist, her grip firm, but her voice was lower. "Bear with it."

Phrolova looked at him. The man had his head down, and wisps of hair fell down his forehead, obscuring half of his face.

His brow was furrowed, and his movements were quick and forceful, but he softened his touch when he applied pressure to the wound.

He was now focused on applying the medicine to her, completely unlike his earlier irritating demeanor.

As Phrolova watched, something stirred within her, a jumbled mess that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"Alright." Kexi wrapped her palm with gauze, tied a knot, and then untied her hand. "Don't get it wet for the next couple of days. Don't exert yourself. Don't touch dust. Don't let me find you in this mess again, or I'll hit you again."

Phrolova withdrew her hand and looked down at the carefully wrapped gauze. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but in the end, she only managed to utter two very soft words.

"Thanks."

Kexi was closing the medicine box when he heard this and paused. He looked up at her, then chuckled, "Rare. You can still utter such words."

Phrolova didn't reply. She turned her head and gently placed her injured hand against her chest.

They were jumping around so much there, even more so than when they were singing that embarrassing song on stage earlier.

Having lived for hundreds of years, this was the first time she felt more uneasy than standing in a concert hall receiving applause from thousands of people, when someone fiercely bandaged her wounds.

"Hmph, you think things end so simply?"

Upon hearing this, Phrolova turned around again, her face showing a blank expression as if she hadn't quite grasped the situation.

Kexi pushed the medicine box onto the table, stood up, and looked down at her.

"As punishment for your self-degradation, you're forced to warm my bed tonight."

Phrolova's eyes widened slightly, but before she could speak, Luna jumped out first.

"Young Master! Luna can do this too." She trotted over, her expression a mix of grievance and expectation.

Kexi glanced down at her, then reached out and pressed her forehead, pushing her back slightly. "Little girl, go play somewhere else."

Luna was pushed back two steps, stomping her feet in anger, and deliberately puffed out her chest. "I'm not a little kid anymore!"

Kexi ignored her and turned to call out, "Selina! Selina!"

Selina strode in from outside, her gaze quickly sweeping over the three of them before finally settling on Kexi: "Young Master, what is it?"

"You, take her with you." Kexi pointed at Luna.

"Huh? Why should I bring her?" Selina's expression was somewhat subtle.

"Mind your own business. Just don't let her follow me." Kexi said this, grabbed Phrolova's wrist, and pulled her outside.

Phrolova stumbled as he pulled her, barely managing to keep up after a few steps. She glanced back and saw Luna being stopped by Selina, jumping up and down in frustration.

Not long after the two left, Carlotta walked in.

She frowned as she watched Selina stop Luna from jumping up and down.

"What are you doing here? Where did Kexi go?"

Luna crossed her arms and gave a disgruntled snort, "He went off to fool around with a bad woman."
