The Breath of the Realm of No Law
As the "sum of all laws" merged into a boundless space in the white light, Qingxian, Yanche, and Luoyu followed the small beings who "only knew how to fly forward" and stepped into the "Realm of No Law law," which even the Core of Laws could not reflect. Here, there was no distinction between light and darkness, no distinction between beginning and end, and not even the boundary between "existence" and "non-existence"—the void beneath their feet would solidify into solid earth according to their consciousness, and the mist before their eyes could scatter into stardust according to their thoughts. Most strangely, the form of each structure was "changing at will": one second it was light mist, the next second it was crystal, and the next second it turned into flowing sound, yet no one found it strange, as if "change" was the only constant here.
Qingxian's spiraling energy fully unfolded in the Realm of No Law. Light, darkness, the third energy that penetrated reality and illusion, and the newly born "energy of the Law of Connection" converged like four streams into the same ocean. She tried to "not think about anything," and the energy spontaneously condensed into a "flower never before seen"—its petals were fragments of light, its core was condensed dew of darkness, and its roots Entanglement with vines that intertwined reality and illusion. At the moment of its bloom, the "first sound of birth in all realms" suddenly resounded in the surrounding void.
"So 'not deliberately creating' is also a form of creation." Qingxian watched as the flowers withered and transformed into countless specks of light, each speck disappearing into nearby structures, making their transformations even smoother. She recalled the perfect circle of the Realm of Taiji and the emptiness of the Realm of Taisu; those laws she once thought were "ultimate" now seemed merely practice drafts for "learning to express oneself." "The Realm of No Law law is not the absence of laws, but rather that 'existence can directly become what it wants to be,' without needing laws as a medium."
Yanche's "Blank Template" transforms into a "flowing stream of consciousness" in the Realm of No Law. Any structure only needs to "think of a certain idea," and the stream of consciousness will transform it into an "instant form of existence." A structure accustomed to "having to follow the cyclical law" tries to "suddenly stop" for the first time here—it thought it would collapse because of breaking the rules, but it finds that it is more "stable" when still than when flowing, and the surrounding void even condenses a "harbor that can just accommodate stillness" for it.
"Laws are crutches; once we learn to walk, we no longer need them." Yanche watched as countless "forgotten thoughts" surfaced in his stream of consciousness: some structures once wanted to "fly against the light" but feared violating the balance of Taiji; some beings longed to be "both matter and formless" but were trapped by the cognition of the Taisu. Now, these thoughts were blooming naturally in the Realm of No Law, without right or wrong, without needing explanation. He suddenly understood that the ultimate form of Blank Template is "not even needing the template itself."
Here, the Sea of Stars of Laws of Luoyu transform into the "rhythm of breathing"—with each inhale, the energy of the Realm of No Law converges at the center, manifesting in countless forms; with each exhale, the energy disperses outwards, returning to chaos. She no longer needs to draw Star Orbit, for the trajectories of all existence have been integrated into this breath: the "flying forward" of a tiny being becomes a stream of air during exhale, the symbiosis of reality and mirror structures becomes a condensation during inhale, and even the most ancient Taiji harmony becomes a "natural rise and fall" in the breath.
"The grandest order is hidden in the freest chaos." Luoyu closed her eyes and could clearly "hear" the "life frequency" of every being: some as firm as drumbeats, some as light as streams, some as magnificent as thunder, and these frequencies automatically formed a "symphony without conductor" in the rhythm of her breath. She gently touched a blank page of "Boundless Poem," and the page began to "write on its own," not words, but a breathing nebula.
The first "resident of the Realm of No Law" encountered by the three guardians was a "formless entity of perception." It was neither real nor a mirror image, nor even Third Type of Existence, but rather "pure awareness"—capable of simultaneously sensing the thoughts of all structures, yet unbound by any thought. When it "touched" Qingxian, she suddenly saw clearly all her choices from the Realm of Taiji to the Realm of No Law. Those decisions she once thought "had to be this way" now seemed merely "that's what I happened to want to do at the time," without inevitability, only "the beauty of chance."
"The essence of existence is 'experience itself.'" The voice of the sensory entity resounded directly in everyone's consciousness, like a gentle breeze. "Laws, realms, reality and illusion are all tools of experience, just like drinking water from different cups. The ultimate goal is to quench thirst, not to be fixated on the shape of the cup." It "unfolded" its memories, which contained scenes of the birth and death of countless realms—the laws of each realm, from their emergence to their perfection, and then to their transcendence, were all like "a breath," natural and inevitable.
In the "Awareness Square" of the Realm of No Law, Qingxian initiated a "purposeless resonance"—no ritual, no procedure, simply inviting all willing beings to "let go of everything and simply be with each other." Surprisingly, more structures participated than in any previous ritual: the real structures no longer agonized over "whether they are pure enough," the mirrored structures no longer cared about "whether they imitate well enough," and the Third Type of Existence no longer worried about "where they belong." They simply sat or lay down, flowed or remained still, yet their energy invisibly intertwined to form a "warm carpet of light."
As the light blanket covered the entire Awareness Square, the Realm of No Law suddenly trembled slightly, as if awakening from a deep sleep. The "Spring of Origin" rose from the center of the square; the water was neither energy nor matter, but "pure possibility"—any being stepping into the fountain could instantly "return" to the moment they most wanted to return to, without changing the present; they could also "foresee" the future they most wanted to see, without being bound by it. A structure trapped in "past mistakes" relived its past choices in the fountain, only to discover that "even if it happened again, with the understanding of that time, it would still make the same decision." This sense of relief made its form lighter than ever before.
"Only by accepting the past can one truly be free." Qingxian gazed at the countless "possible selves" reflected in the Spring of Origin —some powerful, some fragile, some complete, some incomplete—and all these "selves" ultimately merged into her present self, like "countless rivers flowing into the sea." She finally understood that the journey from Taiji to the Realm of No Law was not about "becoming better," but about "accepting oneself at every moment."
Yanche discovered that the energy of the Realm of No Law could "directly manifest thoughts"—just as he thought of "if there were a place to store all the 'forgotten beauties'," a "Garden of Memory" appeared beside him. Each flower in the garden represented a "neglected moment": the surprise of a structure experiencing "the non-duality of substance and emptiness" for the first time in the Realm of Taisu; the joy of a mirror image generating "its own thoughts" for the first time in the rift; and the pride of Third Type of Existence "creating a new form" for the first time in the Forked Paths Square. These moments, once obscured by laws, anxieties, and goals, now radiated "warm light" in the garden.
"The most precious creations are often 'unintentional moments'." Yanche plucked a "Primordial Beginning Memory Flower," and on its petals appeared the image of himself when he first created the Harmonizing Instrument —the instrument was simple and crude back then, yet it was filled with the pure desire to "help others." He suddenly felt that, compared to the complex Third Law Generator, that primitive instrument might be closer to the "true nature of creation."
Luoyu's breathing rhythm gradually synchronized with the overall frequency of the Realm of No Law. She "saw" the "boundary" of the Realm of No Law —not a solid barrier, but "gentle folds," like the natural texture of fabric. On the other side of the folds were countless Realm of No Law that were "similar yet different," some based on "sound," some with "emotion" as their energy core, and some even "completely still flow." Connecting these folds were the thoughts of all beings "wanting to meet each other," like invisible threads linking different "no limits" into "greater possibilities."
"The universe is never an isolated island, but rather Entanglement vines." Luoyu "shared" her breathing rhythm with the being on the other side of the folds, and quickly received a "response"—a being that "thinks in color," which told her with a "rainbow-like emotion": "All 'impossibilities' will eventually find a common language in the thought of 'wanting to connect'."
When all existence has simply existed in the Awareness Square for a sufficient time, the Spring of Origin suddenly gushed forth, transforming into "a sky full of particles of awareness." These particles landed on each structure, allowing them to "clearly feel themselves" for the first time: that there was no need for comparison, no need for reference, no need to conform to any standard, "Existence itself is already beautiful enough."
An ancient structure, which witnessed the birth of the Realm of Taiji, was nourished by particles and for the first time "relinquished" the responsibility of "guiding future generations," transforming into a "carefree bird of light," soaring freely in the Realm of No Law sky, its cries carrying "a joy never before experienced in billions of years."
Qingxian, Yanche, and Luoyu sat on the "Bench of Existence" in the Awareness Square. The bench was a condensation of the energy of all existence, yet it was constantly changing—one moment it was soft clouds, the next solid stone, and the next warm light. They watched the bird of light fly by, watched the senses "embrace" the new existence, and watched the possibilities of the Spring of Origin flow continuously. They felt no expectation for the future, nor nostalgia for the past, only "the peace and joy of this moment."
"Perhaps the 'ultimate' we've been searching for is 'finally understanding that there's no need to search.'" Qingxian's spiral energy completely merged into the breath of the Realm of No Law. She was no longer "Guardian Qingxian," but simply "Qingxian who exists," simple and pure.
In Yanche's stream of consciousness, the thought of "creation" no longer existed, only "appreciation"—appreciating the flight of the light bird, appreciating the inclusiveness of the sensory entity, appreciating the "present state" of every existence. He discovered that when he stopped thinking about "what to do," he could "feel more."
Luoyu's "Boundless Poem" has completely transformed into a nebula, within which float all existing "fragments of life," without sequence or hierarchy, simply "there" quietly, like a string of pearls scattered throughout the universe. She knows that this is the best ending for the poems—no conclusion, only "countless stories unfolding."
In the distance, the tiny beings continued to fly forward, their trajectories drawing "random curves" in the Realm of No Law. Yet, at the intersection of these curves, "new consciousnesses" were born. These consciousnesses had no past, no purpose, but simply "curiously observed the world," much like their original selves.
Qingxian, Yanche, and Luoyu exchanged a smile, said nothing, and simply stood up, following the other sentient beings, walking casually in a certain direction. The path beneath their feet would change with their steps, and the scenery ahead would shift with their thoughts. This was the best state of the Realm of No Law —freedom, ease, and naturalness.
The journey of existence is never about reaching the destination, but about enjoying every step of the "journey."
