Background / History
Changed Parentage
In the original story remembered by Ye Yang, Tang San was the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin. Ye Yang’s relationship with Ah Yin prevented that pairing, but did not prevent Tang San’s transmigration: he was instead born to Tang Hao and Yang Juan, daughter of Breaking Clan patriarch Yang Wudi 6 27.
The marriage was arranged by Tang Hao’s father after Tang Hao returned to the Clear Sky Sect psychologically shattered by his defeats and Tang Xiao’s death. Yang Wudi accepted because the Breaking Clan could not refuse the Clear Sky Sect’s proposal. Tang Hao and Yang Juan initially slept separately; Tang Hao’s father later secretly added a substance to his son’s drink. Tang San was born nine and a half months afterward 26 27.
Birth and Early Care
Tang San’s birth helped Tang Hao recover some of his former resolve. That same night, Tang Hao—then level 85—looked at his newborn son and departed for Slaughter City, seeking either a transformation through mortal danger or death. He regarded having left a descendant as sufficient provision for his family 27.
Yang Juan remained emotionally detached from both her husband and child, returning to cultivation and spear training. Tang San was placed in the care of wet nurses and his paternal grandfather rather than being nursed by his mother 27.
His material circumstances were considerably better than in the original story. Two wet nurses alternated caring for him, while his Super Douluo grandfather cleared his meridians with Soul Power every day. He also received baths prepared from valuable medicinal herbs and Soul Beast blood. Nevertheless, his infant body prevented him from doing more than eating and sleeping during his first month 29.
Personality
Ye Yang recognizes Tang San as possessing a strong will and considers his Tang Sect techniques and hidden weapons important advantages. This assessment concerns the transmigrator’s established capabilities, rather than any combat feat performed during his new infancy 28.
Tang San attempts to overcome the restrictions of his infant body but cannot resist its physiological needs. He also shows no desire to see Yang Juan, matching her lack of interest in him; by the time he is a month old, she has visited only once or twice 29.
Abilities & Skills
Transmigration
Tang San enters the altered timeline as a transmigrated soul 27.
- His birth still occurs after Ah Yin’s relationship with Tang Hao is prevented.
- The narration states that his transmigration follows Tang Hao as his father, rather than requiring a particular mother.
- Transmigration does not remove the physical limitations of infancy 27 29.
Tang Sect Techniques and Hidden Weapons
Ye Yang identifies Tang Sect cultivation techniques and hidden weapons as Tang San’s principal advantages alongside his strong will 28.
- In the original story, Tang Sect techniques allowed him to kill the Mandala Snake that supplied his first Soul Ring 10.
- No use of these techniques by the infant Tang San is documented 29.
Original-Story Martial Souls
The supplied references establish Tang San’s original Martial Souls, but do not show an awakening in the altered timeline.
| Martial Soul | Documented Properties |
|---|---|
| Blue Silver Grass → Blue Silver Emperor | Could absorb both animal and plant Soul Rings. Its Second Awakening produced the Blue Silver Emperor and granted access to a natal Soul Ring 14. |
| Clear Sky Hammer | His second Martial Soul. Ye Yang recalls a fifty-thousand-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider Emperor encountered while Tang San was adding rings to it 30. |
Original-Story Soul Skills
| Skill | Source | Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Parasite | Approximately six-hundred-year-old Ghost Vine | Tang San’s second Soul Skill; associated with paralysis and entanglement 9. |
| Blue Silver Overlord Spear | Natal Soul Ring formed during his Second Awakening | An offensive skill obtained through the support of the Blue Silver King and surrounding Blue Silver Grass 14. |
Equipment / Weapons / Items
Eight Spider Lances — Original Story
- Origin: External Soul Bone obtained alongside the two-thousand-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider’s Soul Ring. It emerged from Tang San’s back after absorption 14 35.
- Importance: Substantially improved his physique and foundation; Ye Yang considers it central to his rapid rise 14.
- Ice and fire adaptation: Evolved through the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, gaining immunity to both ice and fire attributes 16 19.
- Spider absorption: Evolved after devouring a six-thousand-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider encountered before the Elite Tournament 19 30.
- Battle-driven evolution: Underwent a particularly powerful transformation when Tang San overtaxed himself against the nearly million-year-old Deep Sea Demonic Whale King 16 19.
- Final form: Became the Sea God’s Eight Wings upon his ascension to godhood 16.
Relationships

- Yang Juan — Birth mother in the altered timeline. Remains focused on her own cultivation and rarely visits him 27 29.
- Paternal grandfather — Clear Sky Sect master and Super Douluo; personally raises Tang San and uses Soul Power to clear his meridians daily 27 29.

- Ah Yin — Mother in the original story, but not in the altered timeline after becoming Ye Yang’s partner 6 27.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Fated Contest with Ye Yang
Tang San’s birth triggers an urgent system warning. The system states that he possesses the Douluo Continent’s fortune and will become a major threat to Ye Yang, despite the enormous difference between an infant and Ye Yang’s existing strength 28.
- Karma Value measures how extensively Ye Yang changes Tang San’s fate or undertakes actions connected with his original path.
- Relevant actions include becoming Ah Yin’s partner, defeating Tang Hao, and absorbing Mandala Snake and Ghost Vine Soul Beasts.
- Karma Value provides a multiplier to point rewards.
- Losing a round of the fated contest carries a heavy, unspecified punishment 28.
Ye Yang consequently begins pursuing opportunities associated with Tang San’s original growth. Man Faced Demon Spiders, Cave Demon Spiders, and snake-type Soul Beasts become priority targets. His system records a Karma Value of 26 during this period 28 29.
| Action by Ye Yang | Recorded Effect |
|---|---|
| Killing a thirty-thousand-year-old Cave Demon Spider | Karma Value +2; reward of 60,000 points 34. |
| Killing the twenty-thousand-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider Queen | Karma Value +5; reward of 100,000 points 35. |
| Planning to save Xiao Wu and her mother | Identified as another opportunity to gain Karma Value because of their ties to Tang San 44. |
Original-Story Events Recalled by Ye Yang
- Slaughter City: Tang Hao sent Tang San there to gain experience through genuine life-and-death struggles rather than relying solely on personal instruction 38.
- Imperial-palace confrontation: At nineteen, Tang San brought Poison Douluo and Yang Wudi to confront Qian Renxue, Porcupinefish Douluo, and Snake Lance Douluo, disrupting Qian Renxue’s infiltration of the Heaven Dou imperial family 36.
- Xiao Wu’s sacrifice: A thirty-thousand-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider obstructed their escape and indirectly contributed to her sacrifice 30.
