Background / History

Death and rebirth

Ye Yang died while trying to extinguish a wildfire during a spring excursion. He awakened in the Star Dou Great Forest as an ordinary stalk of Blue Silver Grass, recognizing the setting from his knowledge of the Douluo story. Initially unable even to move his leaves, he attracted a system through his refusal to accept his helpless condition 1.

His starting location lay near the boundary between the mixed zone and the Core Circle. Powerful Soul Beasts nearby made passive cultivation dangerous, so he began devouring surrounding plants and searching for prey that could improve his bloodline 2 3.

Deceiving the Myriad Demon King

Ye Yang attacked a hundred-year Demon Eye Demon Tree despite its superior foundation. When it revealed itself as the Myriad Demon King’s son, he continued devouring it rather than releasing it 3 4.

He then misled the Myriad Demon King into blaming humans with hammer Martial Souls. The deception earned him a piece of the king’s root as a reward while directing suspicion toward the Clear Sky Sect 4 6.

Cultivation with Ah Yin

The Blue Silver Emperor contacted Ye Yang after sensing his Quasi-King bloodline. He pretended to be an inexperienced junior, accepted her guidance, and persuaded her to postpone leaving the forest. Her presence and Blue Silver Domain accelerated his cultivation and bloodline development 5 6 7 9.

Their companionship developed through hunting, flirtation, storytelling, and lessons in Chinese writing. Ah Yin also helped him discover how to absorb a Soul Bone while still a plant-type Soul Beast 14 15.

Conflict with the Clear Sky brothers

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao encountered the pair shortly after Ye Yang reached ten thousand years. Their interest in Ah Yin and recognition of her Soul Beast identity led to a battle in which Ye Yang evolved into a Quasi-Blue Silver Emperor and shattered Tang Hao’s Martial Soul Avatar 17 19 22.

After the brothers retreated, Ye Yang and Ah Yin acknowledged their feelings. Four days later, they confronted the brothers again while trying to save the old Blue Silver King. Although Ye Yang drove them away, the king’s essence had already been destroyed 22 24 25.

The dying king sacrificed his remaining power to Ye Yang, hoping that he and Ah Yin would strengthen the Blue Silver clan. Ye Yang subsequently cultivated with Ah Yin in a secluded valley for over a year 25 27 28.

Hunting expeditions and the fated contest

After Tang San’s birth, the system warned Ye Yang that the child possessed the continent’s fortune and would threaten him. It established a fated contest between them, with rewards for victories and unspecified severe penalties for defeats. A Karma Value tracking their connection later appeared in his status page 28 29.

Ye Yang left the valley to hunt more suitable prey, prioritizing spiritual power and bloodline quality over raw Soul Power. His battles with the two spider kings brought him into the Spirit Sea Realm and produced the Super Eight Spider Lances 29 34 35.

He later concealed his identity while protecting Qian Renxue from the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger. She offered him a 30,000-year Head Soul Bone in gratitude; Ah Yin subsequently fused with it 39 40 41.

Delaying the hundred-thousand-year breakthrough

Ye Yang planned to visit the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in the Sunset Forest, but first sought a stronger bloodline and spiritual foundation. He feared that reaching 100,000 years as only a Quasi-Blue Silver Emperor would make later bloodline improvement much harder 41 42.

After hunting the Purple Spirit Baboon, he capped his cultivation at 99,999 years and stored the excess in his fused spider Soul Bone. This method followed Ah Yin’s example of storing Soul Power in a Soul Bone to delay her own Maturity Stage 27 42 43.

Rescue of Xiao Wu and her mother

When Ah Yin detected humans attacking Xiao Wu and her mother, Ye Yang rushed to help. He shielded them from Qian Xunji’s attacks, fought Bear Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo, and held back pursuers while the three women escaped 43 45 46 47.

During the fighting, he copied Bear Douluo’s Bloodthirsty Frenzied Claw, attached it to his front shovel-leg Soul Bones, and killed him. His spear absorbed Bear Douluo’s nine Soul Rings as he escaped underground. By the latest provided chapter, Ye Yang had turned to confronting the remaining Spirit Hall experts directly 49 50.

Appearance

Ye Yang’s body changes from a frail stalk of grass into a large, weaponized plant that can arrange itself into a humanoid “scarecrow” 1 19 28.

• Original form: Pale-blue leaves with faint silvery-white central veins; initially smaller than the surrounding grass 1.
• Blue Silver King form: Eighteen leaves, each six meters long, with more than three hundred roots extending up to a thousand meters 12.
• Quasi-Emperor form: Eighty-one leaves reaching twelve meters in length, with blue, silver, and gold coloration 19.

Personality

Ye Yang combines caution with calculated aggression. He disguises his strength, studies opponents, and profits from battles between other creatures, but accepts dangerous fights when they offer a way past his weak foundation. He also recognizes that, as a hunter, he may eventually be hunted himself 2 4 19 31 34.

He is openly flirtatious and pursues Ah Yin from their first meeting. His courtship begins with deliberately cheesy lines, but his commitment becomes more considerate once she reciprocates: he refuses to let her sacrifice her future cultivation merely to wait for him 7 22.

His outlook clashes with Ah Yin’s reluctance to kill. He regards offensive strength as necessary for survival and refuses to let her compassion prevent his hunting. At the same time, he repeatedly risks himself to protect her and other Soul Beasts 8 22 45 46.
