First Meeting with Shui Bing'er

Su Tianyu climbed into the luxurious carriage. Inside, the first thing he saw was an elaborate dining table, neatly laid with fruits such as amethyst grapes, green tangerines, and melons...

"Not bad. The service is just right in every respect."

Su Tianyu looked at the dazzling array of fruits on the table and nodded slightly. He then sat down on a sofa made from the fur of an unknown Soul Beast. As soon as he sat, he found it wonderfully springy, and as the carriage slowly set off, he couldn't feel a single bump.

"Sir, we've reached the gates of Treasure Sword City. It should take an estimated five days to reach the Star Dou Great Forest, where you wish to go. Please be patient. I'll make sure we arrive at your destination on time, five days from now."

The coachman turned his head and spoke respectfully to his passenger inside the carriage.

The carriage passed through Treasure Sword City's crowded gates, then quickly picked up speed, traveling at no less than forty miles an hour. A carriage drawn by fine horses really was different.

Su Tianyu lifted the curtain and watched Treasure Sword City grow smaller behind him, a trace of reluctance flashing through his eyes. He had spent time in that city working as a blacksmith and living a peaceful life of cultivation. He didn't know when he would next be able to live so freely and carefree.

During the journey, the carriage passed through deserts, forests, and mountains, giving Su Tianyu a view of the strangely shaped mountains and rivers of the Douluo Continent. With scenery to watch along the way, he could hardly say he was weary of the trip.

After five days of swift travel, the carriage slowly came to a stop in Star Dou Town early on the morning of the sixth day. The town was both familiar and unfamiliar, and it brought back Su Tianyu's unpleasant memory of how the first Soul Hunting team he had joined had been wiped out.

"Sir, we've reached your destination. Thank you for riding with us. The fare for this journey comes to four Gold Soul Coins. We look forward to serving you again."

The coachman looked respectfully at Su Tianyu as he stepped out of the carriage, a smile on his face.

"Your carriage service is very good. The next time I need a carriage, I'll be sure to come to you. Here are four Gold Soul Coins for the journey. Make sure you put them away safely."

The bracelet on Su Tianyu's wrist flashed, and four gleaming Gold Soul Coins appeared in his hand. He handed them to the coachman standing beside him, then headed toward Star Dou Small Town.

As soon as he entered the gates of Star Dou Town, Su Tianyu saw a group of girls ahead on the street, dressed in pale blue school uniform dresses. Several lovely girls were chattering away, led by a woman of about forty. A smile played on the woman's lips as she looked at the girls chattering on either side of her, her gaze full of indulgence.

The woman wore a pale blue combat outfit, and her delicate, pretty features seemed untouched by time. A light blush graced her fair, tender cheeks, making her even more beautiful and charming, while the alluring warmth in her eyes stirred the heart.

The Soul Masters lining the street stared at the beautiful girls, lovestruck. One after another, they froze in place, gazing foolishly at the girls as they played and frolicked in the street. In particular, when they saw the woman leading the group, many Soul Masters unconsciously swallowed, their throats bobbing.

"What a bunch of little enchantresses. I can hardly stop myself from going over to chat them up."

A Soul Master gazed at the flock of pretty girls and spoke without thinking.

"You want to go over and chat them up? Why don't you take a look at what kind of stuff you're made of? Are you worthy? Look at what they're wearing. Those are Skywater Academy uniforms."

The Soul Master beside him heard him boasting shamelessly about chatting them up and immediately shot back.

"What? You mean that academy that only admits female Soul Masters? Skywater Academy, the one that won't even take you if you're not pretty?"

On hearing this, the Soul Master who had just been planning to approach the Skywater Academy girls was so frightened by the academy's name that he lowered his head and didn't dare say another word.

"Could they be from Skywater Academy?"

Su Tianyu stopped by the gates of Star Dou Town and looked at the flock of girls ahead. The prettiest among them was a quiet girl walking at the very back of the group, silent the whole way. The girl holding her arm was somewhat less attractive overall.

The girl was speaking softly to the silent girl beside her. The latter merely smiled and nodded in response.

After speaking to her older sister, the girl was about to go forward and say something to the woman leading them, their teacher. She didn't know whether it was a woman's sixth sense, but she felt someone not far away looking at them with an appreciative gaze. She turned to look, and her eyes widened in astonishment.

What Shui Yue'er saw was a young man in white, with silver hair and a face of unrivaled handsomeness.

At the sight of his outstanding looks, Shui Yue'er's heart raced and her face and ears turned red. She gave him a deeply affectionate look, then hurriedly called out to her sister, Shui Bing'er.

"Sister Bing'er, look! Quick, look! There's a really handsome guy over there!"

Shui Yue'er shook the shoulders of the girl beside her with both hands, her voice trembling with excitement.

Hearing her younger sister Shui Yue'er's words, Shui Bing'er turned toward the gates of Star Dou Town and met Su Tianyu's gaze.

When she saw his face clearly, Shui Bing'er's eyes trembled, and she continued to gaze at Su Tianyu in a daze.

Realizing she had lost her composure, Shui Bing'er hurriedly lowered her head. She swept her tousled pale blue hair back to her ear, not daring to look at him again with such an unguarded gaze.

"Sister Bing'er, what's wrong?"

Seeing her sister Shui Bing'er standing there with her head lowered, saying nothing, Shui Yue'er anxiously shook her by the body.

"Yue'er, stop shaking me. Let's go. We still have to get Soul Rings tomorrow."

Keeping her head down, Shui Bing'er took her younger sister Shui Yue'er's hand and hurried forward at a jog, merging into the Skywater Academy group.

As her sister pulled her along at a jog, Shui Yue'er looked back at Su Tianyu with a smile and waved to him. Then she turned, followed her sister, and jogged into the group.

Su Tianyu watched the two girls run into the group. The girl who had just stared at him so foolishly was presumably the younger sister, Shui Yue'er, while the cool-faced girl was probably the older sister, Shui Bing'er. He hadn't expected to run into the sisters here.

Su Tianyu smiled slightly, then headed into Star Dou Town.

Walking along Star Dou Town's main street, Su Tianyu made his way to the town center. It was the liveliest part of the whole town, home to many shops and restaurants. Soul Masters planning to enter the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain Soul Rings would stock up on supplies in the town.
