Chapter 22
His lips curved in a smile, flushed crimson from his bath and looking soft and inviting, yet there was an untamed arrogance in his eyes and brows.
He had stood in the doorway with his back to him, then suddenly turned and asked him provocatively-if he really were gay, what would he do?
What should I do...?
Fu Yuhe held Shen Yi's chin with a measured grip.
Back then, if Shen Yi had shown any sign of ulterior motives toward Fu Cheng, he would naturally have taught him a proper lesson.
But sometimes Shen Yi seemed to, and sometimes he didn't. On closer thought, it seemed more like he was doing it deliberately for Fu Yuhe to see, and his intentions were self-evident.
How could he let Shen Yi provoke or tease him and then simply run away?
In business, Fu Yuhe was accustomed to controlling the pace. He was all too familiar with the back-and-forth of sounding out an opponent, and that mentality had left its mark on his personal life too. Right now, for instance, being teased had left him thoroughly displeased.
He had to take back the initiative and make Shen Yi understand that some people weren't so easy to tease.
"Ge, what are you doing?" With Fu Yuhe gripping his chin, Shen Yi leaned back and tilted his head slightly up, looking down with an expression that appeared somewhat disdainful on him. "This isn't very appropriate, is it? Look at your bathrobe..."
He hadn't noticed the approaching danger, or perhaps he had but didn't care. Smiling, he raised a hand and rubbed his fingertips against the collar of Fu Yuhe's bathrobe. "It's almost falling..."
His words cut off abruptly, and the smile in his eyes froze.
The breath that suddenly drew close gave him his first taste of losing control. After a brief, stiff moment of stunned silence, his senses slowly conveyed the information to his brain.
The sensation and force of the impact against Shen Yi's lips left them numb for a few seconds; only afterward did he register the pain and tingling. It was very quiet around him, and he caught the faint scent on Fu Yuhe, whether from body wash or shampoo, which had a steady, restrained quality.
The starry river on the wall shimmered faintly.
Fu Yuhe's breathing was heavy, like the breaths of a beast. His lips were as soft as the cream on the cake Shen Yi had eaten today, soft and sweet. Shen Yi couldn't resist reaching out with his tongue to lick them, and a tingling sensation traveled straight from his chest down his spine to his tailbone.
He raised a hand to the back of Fu Yuhe's head, turning the tables.
Fu Yuhe's lips are so soft.
Their kisses made wet, suggestive sounds, and the air was filled with heat, like a fire crackling and burning ever more fiercely.
Shen Yi's lips grew wet, as did Fu Yuhe's. Fu Yuhe's head was a little hazy from the alcohol, and at this moment he was recklessly doing something out of character, heedless of the consequences.
They were like two vicious wolves locked in combat, fighting to determine a winner. Their lips were engaged in the most intimate act, while their hands and legs struggled to pin each other down.
Fu Yuhe grabbed Shen Yi's wrist, and Shen Yi pinned Fu Yuhe's leg... They kissed inseparably, like dry tinder meeting a raging flame, passion blazing.
Smack-
The coffee table was knocked out of place, and the glass Fu Yuhe had dropped on the floor earlier rolled farther away with a rumble. Their ragged breathing sounded several times louder in their ears.
No one knew how much time had passed. Fu Yuhe's bathrobe had fallen mostly open when a voice suddenly came from upstairs.
"Ge!?" Fu Cheng called.
It was like a splash of cold water, dousing the fire somewhat. Both of them stopped moving at once.
At the top of the second-floor stairs, Fu Cheng leaned over the railing and looked down. He saw the starry river flowing across the wall and heard some noise, but he couldn't see where his brother was.
"Are you down there?" he asked.
Fu Yuhe seemed to snap abruptly back to his senses, perfectly embodying the essence of "pulling out and turning heartless." He shoved Shen Yi away, pulled his bathrobe together, and pushed himself up with a hand on the sofa.
"What is it?" His voice came out several shades huskier than before, tinged with desire.
Fu Cheng didn't notice. "Don't sleep on the sofa. You'll catch a cold easily. Your voice is already hoarse."
Fu Yuhe: "...Mm."
He covered Shen Yi's mouth to keep him quiet.
Shen Yi lay on the floor. He hadn't noticed it before, but now he felt that the floor was a little cold. He blinked, breathing against Fu Yuhe's palm. Flames still flickered in his eyes as he looked frankly at Fu Yuhe. He didn't struggle, merely tilting his head.
Fu Yuhe asked Fu Cheng what he had come down for. Fu Cheng said he had heard noises downstairs and thought something had happened. When Fu Yuhe let down his guard, Shen Yi suddenly pried his hand away and called out loudly, "Fu Cheng!"
"Hm?" Fu Cheng leaned out from the stairs. "Shen Yi, are you there too?"
Though Fu Yuhe quickly covered Shen Yi's mouth again, it was already too late. He kept his hand over Shen Yi's mouth, his expression calm, but Shen Yi still sensed that, for a few seconds, he was at a rare loss.
"What are you trying to do?" Fu Yuhe asked through gritted teeth, lowering his voice.
"Why are you covering my mouth?" Shen Yi said just as quietly. "Are you afraid Fu Cheng will find out? Ge, you're feeling guilty."
Fu Yuhe: "..." Shen Yi had hit the mark.
It was as though an invisible sword had pierced his heart.
"Ge?" Hearing no more from his brother, Fu Cheng started downstairs.
"Don't talk nonsense," Fu Yuhe said hurriedly under his breath.
"What nonsense?" Shen Yi asked.
Fu Yuhe: "You know perfectly well what I mean."
Shen Yi: "If you don't spell it out, I won't understand."
His expression was helpless, but his eyes flicked to the side. He looked exactly like a dead pig unafraid of boiling water.
Fu Yuhe: "..."
The footsteps drew closer. Shen Yi chuckled softly. "I can keep it a secret, but you'll have to offer me something in return. After all, I've kept my lips sealed and kept your secrets so many times before. It's not too much to ask for something, is it?"
