The Socially Dead Relic User
Beyond "Punishment Sealing Domain".
Yise and Leoni descended from the sky, then suddenly changed direction and flew swiftly close to the treetops.
The domain constructed by the fairies was visible to the naked eye, with fine ripples weaving through the canopy and branches, forming a huge net.
"As expected of Destiny Level being, what a spectacle!" Leoni exclaimed in admiration.
Yise took out an earphone and handed it to Leoni.
"Just put them in your ears."
She briefly explained how to use it.
"Under normal circumstances, it will automatically capture your speech and intelligently switch channels."
Leoni took the headphones and put them in his ears.
"Can you hear me?" Yise asked.
"Yes." "This thing is unaffected by magic and doesn't require any special attention to maintain," Yise replied. "It's much better than Wind Message Spell."
A look of surprise flashed in Leoni's eyes. "What an amazing alchemical tool."
A figure leaped above the jungle and joined them.
"Jielusi!" Yise said.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who's late," Jielusi replied.
"Is this young lady the bride-to-be?" Leoni chuckled.
Jielusi wore her most beautiful light-colored long dress, which made her look like a cloud lifted by the wind as she flew by. Her long hair was also carefully combed, with a floral ornament on the side, and her face was covered with very light makeup.
This is clearly not an outfit for going out to fight.
Jielusi sighed silently in her heart: she had spent the whole morning getting ready, and had even asked the fairies for help to apply light makeup with the juice of flower petals.
The result was that war had broken out!
If Ruixiuli came over and saw her lifting her skirt to fight Destiny Level opponent, I don't know if that would be considered the right atmosphere.
**** The three of them crossed the blockade formed by fairies and broke into the "Punishment Sealing Domain".
The next moment, they were transported into a mirror world.
The surrounding forest did not disappear, but was instead fragmented into chaotic layers by countless mirror-like surfaces.
The trees cast countless reflections, the stream seemed to hang upside down overhead, and shards of light flowed like water across the edges of a mirror.
At the center ahead, there is the Immortal Spirit Prism Shadow.
Further away are Su Ming, Zijin, and Qiluo.
As soon as Yise and the other two entered the Mirror Domain, a mirror light appeared beneath their feet, and their reflections slowly took shape.
The shadow at Leoni's feet had no white hair, his upper body was bare, and the lines of his shoulders and back were like a bowstring honed over the years. The wildness of the ice field hunter rushed out from the mirror.
"Looking at this, it's just like I looked two years ago," Leoni said, narrowing his eyes.
"Before you fell from the Saint Rank?" Jielusi asked.
"Yes," Leoni nodded, "I was really handsome back then." He said smugly.
"A handsome older man, that's not bad," Jielusi said. The reflection on her side, however, showed a girl with an indifferent expression.
Her eyes were cold, her lips were straight, and shadows around her settled like mist; this was clearly her second personality.
Both of them looked at Yise at the same time.
But then they noticed that Yise's expression suddenly changed, as if he was trying to cover something up.
However, the mirror is too large, making it pointless to use it for blocking.
So the two of them could clearly see that Yise, in the reflection, was wearing a set of green monster-themed parent-child winter clothes.
The hat has two soft little horns, a row of rounded short spikes on the back, fluffy cuffs, and a tail that playfully wags back and forth.
Even while in combat mode, Leoni and Jielusi couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Yise covered her face, feeling utterly humiliated.
"What a vicious enemy!" she gritted her teeth.
"Your outfit is quite cute," Leoni said, "Just as handsome as mine."
"Shut up!" ****
Leoni's gaze quickly focused, and "Trace Shadows of All Things" unfolded.
The world in the mirror decomposed into lines of energy in his vision. These lines did not only connect to the present moment, but also extended deeper, linking to memories, traces, and projections left in nothingness.
Leoni quickly completed the analysis.
"This is the 'strongest form' reflected from our soul's memories and the world's past."
"I guess the enemy isn't doing this so we can just coordinate our outfits," Jielusi said.
"Perhaps." Leoni's longbow fell into his hand.
He looked down at his own shadow.
"But if it's a shadow--"
I've also done some research.
Leoni took a light step, and his own shadow beneath his feet immediately became blurred.
Some old traces were erased from his past, and those that followed were moved forward to fill the gaps.
****
The Prism Shadow unfolds six translucent dragonfly wings.
The energy emanating from her body dissipated outwards, like a crystal-white flower garden suspended in mid-air.
"This is the peak you've ever reached."
She raised her hand, her red eyes filled with an arrogant smile.
"Come on, let me see what happens when you fight your strongest selves!"
The first to be chosen were Leoni and his two companions.
Their reflections, upside down, reappeared from the mirror world and came before the three of them.
These are, respectively, Jielusi in her Shadow Form, Yise in her Little Monster set, and --
Leoni was coughing up blood and looked as if he would die at any moment.
Even the previously imposing Prism Shadow paused upon seeing this. "What, is he a sickly weakling?"
She looked at Leoni with suspicion.
"Are you called Raistlin?"
"Sorry, you're Destiny Level tourist from Eden." Leoni said calmly.
"I altered my past records, slightly misleading your reflection."
He looked at himself, pale-faced and weak.
"This is when I unleashed my strongest power, and then your Yexiya beat me to a pulp."
The two times were only one minute apart, but their states were worlds apart.
Leoni deftly drew his bow, energy gathering on the empty string, and the arrow shot through the air.
The sickly-looking shadow of Leoni was pierced through the brain by an arrow, turning into fragments that flowed across the ground like broken mercury.
****
Leoni intended to strike first. He sensed things carefully and concluded:
"There's no punishment for killing your own shadow."
He gave me a "that's it" look.
He coughed as soon as he finished speaking.
Clearly, given Leoni's current condition, that arrow he just fired wasn't easy either.
Even with his severe injuries, it would still take some effort to kill him instantly.
"He's actually a user of the ' Trace Shadows ' ability."
After a brief moment of surprise, Immortal Spirit Prism Shadow quickly started chuckling again.
With a gentle wave of her hand, the fragments merged back into the mirror, and with a ripple of light, the shadow at Leoni's feet reappeared.
Then, the battle-damaged version of Leoni reappeared in the mirror once more and stood before the original Leonie.
"So what if I'm weak?"
"As long as the original body exists, the shadows are endless!" Prism Shadow laughed smugly.
Following her command, Shadow Leoni charged forward again, and the shadows of Jielusi and Yise also pounced.
Jielusi's expression turned cold. Her skirt spun open as a shadow attack met her, colliding with it.
The situation is a bit more delicate on Yise's side.
The reflection of the little monster suit rushed in, its momentum fierce, yet the attack emanated from the flimsy beast claw costume.
It has a completely tiger-like, cute, and adorable appearance.
Yise felt as if his heart had died.
She thought that the time in the Northern Lands was the most humiliating one for her, but she was wrong. She never expected there would be such a way of mocking someone's corpse!
Before Leoni, his sickly reflection, coughing up blood, lunged forward again.
Three people and three shadows, and they were locked in battle.
****
The Immortal Spirit Prism Shadow turned towards Su Ming. "It's your turn!"
She raised her hand, and six translucent dragonfly wings fully unfurled behind her, causing the radiance in the mirrored world to surge.
"Bay Owl, your life concept reflects damage, I dare not attack."
Prism Shadow looked at Zijin, her tone tinged with displeasure.
"Then let the shadows play with you!"
In the mirrored world, large swaths of mirror light converged at the feet of Su Ming and his companions, and the reflections began to shift from illusory to real.
The Zijin in the mirror was the first to look up.
She was still beautiful, but her expression was serene and devoid of any warmth. Compared to the real Zijin, her reflection appeared more mature, as if an invisible crown adorned her forehead.
Su Ming looked at the reflection and felt a strange stirring in his heart. He had a feeling that this Zijin looked like someone he had seen somewhere before.
But I can't recall the specifics right now.
Su Ming's own reflection was also clearly different.
His eyes and brows had lost some of their playfulness, but gained a touch of world-weariness from the trials he had endured, making him more heroic and composed. Zijin couldn't help but take another look, then glanced at Su Ming beside her, her eyes slightly raised.
"What do you mean by that look?" Su Ming immediately retorted, displeased.
In the mirror beneath Qiluo's feet, a unicorn in full radiance was reflected.
A blue light surged like a tide, a single horn on its forehead was crystal clear, its four hooves trod on mirror light, and a pure aura surrounded its body.
Qiluo glanced at it and immediately jumped up.
Wow! That's so cool!
"Big Sister Moth," Su Ming couldn't help but complain, "Does your field even have a beauty filter?"
"Beauty filter?" Prism Shadow scoffed. "Your corpses, dying tragically in despair, are the most beautiful faces!"
A burst of light emanated from her, and bright areas appeared on the mirror's surface, with three reflections simultaneously emerging outwards.
An inexplicable sense of oppression arose.
Su Ming and the other two retreated almost simultaneously, quickly creating distance between themselves.
They didn't possess Leoni's "Trace Shadows" ability to mislead the Mirror Domain's judgment. In other words, they were facing their strongest version of themselves. Su Ming and Zijin's expressions both turned serious.
This is troublesome!
****
But just as the three reflections were about to detach from the mirror, Prism Shadow's expression suddenly changed.
The power within her body began to be frantically drained by the Mirror Domain.
The originally dazzling radiance on Prism Shadow dimmed at a visible speed. Its six dragonfly wings also began to tremble, and the crystalline white light patterns at the edges crumbled layer by layer.
"Wait..." Prism Shadow Shadow's pupils constricted sharply, "You..."
She seemed to have been violently drained, and her voice began to weaken.
"... How could this be...?"
Before she could finish speaking, Prism Shadow's eyes rolled back, and she fainted under the watchful eyes of all her enemies.
With a splat, it fell onto the mirror.
The entire arena fell silent for a moment. Su Ming, Zijin, Qiluo, and even Yise group who were fighting in the distance were momentarily stunned.
What kind of gameplay is this?
Destiny Level powerhouse unleashed their ultimate skill, only to be stunned by their own?
Su Ming remained silent for a moment.
"Is this move that mana-intensive?" he asked, utterly puzzled. "And they're using it so casually?"
"Or perhaps she's forgotten she just fell and hurt herself?" Zijin guessed. "Is she not thinking clearly?"
****
However, the "Mirror Flower · Reflection" field was not dispelled, and the six shadows on the field remained.
On Su Ming's side, it seemed that because the three of them had created some distance beforehand, the three shadows opposite him did not pursue them after they fully appeared.
They simply formed a circle, guarding the Prism Shadow in front of it.
On the other side, Yise had already slain his own reflection once.
Prism Shadow's reflection field only mirrored the main body, not the equipment. Without any magical artifacts by her side, the combat power of an artifact user would be significantly reduced. Just like Leoni's reflection, her shadow was shattered and then reformed.
But as Immortal Spirit Prism Shadow fainted, Yise suddenly noticed that Shadow's response had changed.
The specific combat skills and instincts are still there, but it's obvious that...
"They've lost their leader!"
Yise reminded him loudly.
She deflected her own shadow with a single sword strike, deliberately creating distance between herself and the enemy.
The shadow monster had been chasing after it for a while, but after reaching a certain range, its movements suddenly stopped.
It paused for a moment, then returned to its original position.
Jielusi also quickly distanced herself.
Of the three, she suffered the most.
With just a brief contact, Shadow Jielusi injured her. That Shadow Form second personality was more decisive than she was, each strike aimed at vital points.
As she moved out of the area, Jielusi successfully escaped the battle. She clutched her wound, her face pale. Was her second personality really that powerful?
Or is she actually very restrained in general?
****
Leoni then shot an arrow and killed his second shadow, shattering it into pieces that scattered in all directions.
The three reunited.
Leoni glanced at the entire Mirror Domain, then looked at Prism Shadow, who had collapsed in the center.
"This is a semi-permanent zone."
"Only by killing that fairy spirit can the curse be lifted."
As he spoke, he glanced down at his feet, but no new shadow materialized.
Leoni immediately smiled.
"That's right, no new ones!"
Yise breathed a sigh of relief; this was indeed very good news. If Prism Shadow were conscious, these shadows could not only be refreshed but also controlled by her in unison. But now that Prism Shadow was unconscious, although the domain was still operating, the shadows only had the most basic combat capabilities left.
It's a complete nightmare difficulty level, instantly turning into a beginner's training ground.
"My shadow is easy to deal with," Yise said. "Without wonders, I'm just trash."
She deliberately withdrew from the battle just now to test the shadow's movement range and pursuit logic.
Yise looked at Leoni, "Let's try to lure him over alone."
Leoni raised his hand and casually fired an ordinary arrow. The arrow grazed Yise's shadow's shoulder, which the opponent easily dodged.
But the target was clearly "provoked".
The shadow of Yise in the Little Monster Suit immediately rushed towards them. The other four shadows on the field remained motionless, clearly unconcerned.
Test successful.
Yise stepped forward, and with a flash of swords, she easily deflected the shadow's attack.
Leoni grinned; this would make the rest of the battle much easier.
"I thought I'd die fighting such a powerful enemy today." He looked at the immortal spirit that had collapsed to the ground in the center of the Mirror Domain.
"What a stroke of luck!"
