Background / History
Tang San originally existed as a god connected to both the Sea God and Asura God powers. Seeking to secure Tang Wutong’s ascension, he merged a strand of her soul Origin into Wang Dong’s body with the God of Destruction’s coordination. The fusion accelerated Wang Dong’s cultivation while her memories remained sealed. His separate scheme against the soul beasts failed, leaving him consumed by Asura killing intent 100.
After Tang Wutong was killed by Qin Fang, Tang San attempted to interfere with Douluo Continent. The God of Destruction stopped him, defeated him, and sentenced him to one hundred years of confinement; the God of Emotion was appointed to oversee the continent in Destruction’s stead 184. Tang San later confronted Electrolux through a Divine Power Avatar in a specially condensed God Spirit Space. Electrolux defeated and absorbed the avatar, severely weakening Tang San’s true body 203 204.
Tang San was subsequently sent ten thousand years into the past. Reborn in his childhood body at Holy Soul Village, he retained his future memories and immediately began planning to regain godhood, settle old grudges, revive his mother, and alter history 205.
Personality
Tang San is calculating, patient, and intensely goal-driven. Following his rebirth, he treats knowledge of the future as a resource to exploit rather than a burden to avoid. He deliberately preserves events useful to his rise, including Xiao Wu’s future sacrifice and her connection to the Asura God’s scabbard 210.
He is also willing to deceive allies and relatives for strategic advantage. When Tang Hao suspected that someone had replaced his son, Tang San revealed his identity as Tang San from ten thousand years in the future and used detailed foreknowledge to win his father’s trust 211. His pursuit of power increasingly overrides loyalty: he later abandons Xiao Wu and Tang Wutong when Qin Fang kills them, refusing to intervene despite their pleas 415.
