Awakening and Independence

Huang Yang awakens alone in the wilderness of the Battle Through the Heavens world. After recovering his memories, he is disgusted by his connection to Gu Shenggo but accepts his origin. He chooses a separate name partly to avoid being attacked over his original self’s reputation. Although his body has immense potential, he recognizes that he needs cultivation and a faction’s protection to survive on the Douqi Continent 237.

The system later explains that it extracted a wisp of Gu Shenggo’s benevolent thought and added the Origin Essence of Arrogance during Huang Yang’s gestation. His existence forms part of Gu’s path toward becoming a complete Evil God of Original Sin. Their eventual reunion is intended to add Huang Yang’s memories and experiences without producing a split personality; no such merger occurs in the supplied chapters 243.

Establishing Himself in Gama Imperial City

On the road to Gama Imperial City, bandits target Huang Yang’s expensive robe. He prepares to burn them with his Heavenly Flame, but Princess Yaoye intervenes first and pursues the fleeing criminals. When she later recognizes him inside the city, he leaves before they can converse 237 238.

Misty Cloud Sect

Huang Yang begins his Dou Shi breakthrough while waiting in the recruitment plaza. The elders protect him from interference, while Yun Leng seeks Yun Shan’s help after noticing Jia Xingtian considering an intervention. At Nalan Yanran’s request, Huang Yang agrees to treat her grandfather’s Pillar Poison. The task also carries a system reward: a tier-seven Yin-Yang Xuan Dragon Pill.
