Yuanshi Spreads the Dao

Although Meng Chen was a transmigrator, he had always had only a partial understanding of the significance behind the existence of the Teaching of Humanity, the Chan Sect, and the Intercepting Teaching. It was not until he listened to Yuanshi Tianzun's lecture that he understood what these three teachings meant to the Primordial World.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. As sages, the Three Pure Ones, while enjoying the glory that came with their station, also bore the missions entrusted to them by the Heavenly Dao.

The purpose of the Teaching of Humanity, the Chan Sect, and the Intercepting Teaching was to assist the evolution of the Dao of Heaven, the Dao of Earth, and the Human Dao, allowing the Primordial World to continuously grow and develop.

The original intention behind the founding of the Teaching of Humanity was to use the human race as a foundation, to promote the development of civilization, and thereby establish the Human Dao. Thus, among the three teachings, the Teaching of Humanity was responsible for overseeing the overall situation, constructing social systems, and determining the direction of civilization's development.

Sage Laozi's wu wei (non-action) was about conforming to the natural laws and following the patterns of nature. It was not about doing nothing at all, nor was it about doing everything without restraint.

With the stable social system established by the Teaching of Humanity as a prerequisite, the Chan Sect would then begin to perfect the rules and maintain their operation. The specific content was to educate all living beings, awaken their wisdom, and grant them a correct sense of good and evil, a proper outlook on life, and moral ethics.

The doctrine of the Intercepting Teaching was not about defying heaven either. If its doctrine were truly about defying heaven, why would Master Tongtian have bothered to become a sage?

Seizing a thread of life was Master Tongtian's Dao! The Dao is the original heart, the truest thought of Master Tongtian.

If Master Tongtian were truly defying heaven, why would he go and become a sage? Wouldn't his words and actions be contradictory?

The existence of the Intercepting Teaching was actually to cooperate with the Teaching of Humanity and the Chan Sect, to continuously adjust and change the rules, allowing the civilization of the Human Dao to keep moving forward.

"So, the doctrines of the Chan Sect and the Intercepting Teaching are not opposed to each other, but rather complement each other. Only if the three teachings are of one mind and one spirit can the Primordial World have a bright future."

Understanding the meaning behind the existence of the three teachings, Meng Chen's mind suddenly became clear.

Since Yuanshi Tianzun and Master Tongtian were brothers, their thoughts and philosophies could not possibly be poles apart. Unless, before they became sages, they had been at each other's throats.

Clearly, that assumption did not hold.

After grasping these truths, Meng Chen did not overestimate his own abilities and try to change anything. Even if he wanted to change things, he first needed to raise his status within Xuanmen and make himself strong.

If he were like Guang Chengzi in the original story, who caused trouble every time he served as a teacher to a Human Sovereign, and even got chased and beaten by his own disciple during the Investiture of the Gods War, then Sage Laozi and Master Tongtian would only see him as a joke.

After finishing the ideological education lesson, Yuanshi Tianzun finally began to teach the disciples the divine powers and Daoist arts of the Jade Void Palace.

At this stage, Meng Chen listened with exceptional focus. To that end, he even took out a leaf of Enlightenment Tea and placed it in his mouth.

The Eastern Celestial Pole lacked nothing, least of all spiritual plants and divine roots. In terms of mastery over the Dao of Plants, even the Zhen Yuan Great Immortal and the Queen Mother of the West could not compare to the Meng Zhang Divine Lord.

Seeing Meng Chen being so extravagant, Yuanshi Tianzun couldn't help but think to himself: "If I had had a single leaf of Enlightenment Tea when I was listening to the Dao at the Purple Cloud Palace, I would have long since beheaded all Three Corpses and become a Three Corpses Sage."

However, when Yuanshi Tianzun thought that this was his own disciple, someone who would glorify his own lineage, he secretly felt fortunate that he had found a treasure this time.

Meng Chen, of course, could not know what Yuanshi Tianzun was thinking. He was completely immersed in the Daoist arts that Yuanshi Tianzun was manifesting.

A sage lecturing on the Dao was naturally extraordinary. As soon as Yuanshi Tianzun opened his mouth, he pulled the minds of all the disciples into countless independent small spacetime realms.

Within each small spacetime realm, there was an incarnation of Yuanshi Tianzun. This incarnation was only at the Celestial Immortal realm. After appearing before the disciples, it began to cultivate right in front of them.

Every step, every detail of cultivation—the key points and difficulties of each realm, from Celestial Immortal, True Immortal, Mystic Immortal, Golden Immortal, Taiyi... none were omitted, all completely displayed before the disciples.

Yes, Yuanshi Tianzun was conducting one-on-one, live instruction for his disciples.

This method seemed very complicated, but for Yuanshi Tianzun, it could be accomplished with a single thought. In the small spacetime realms he created, time was endless, never running out.

Meng Chen, hungry and thirsty for knowledge, threw himself wholeheartedly into his studies.

A sage's guidance was always to the point, because a sage could see through the foundation of Meng Chen's cultivation with a single glance. With a slight calculation by the sage, the mistakes Meng Chen had made in his past cultivation were all deduced.

Under such guidance, Meng Chen felt as if he were washing away all impurities and facing the Great Dao directly. His foundation became increasingly stable as he listened to the Dao, and his understanding of the Great Dao advanced by leaps and bounds.

This kind of realization even made Meng Chen himself feel a bit frightened. His father was also a top-tier existence below the sages, more than capable of teaching him, a Golden Immortal. Yet, he had never experienced a feeling like this before.

After reshaping the foundations for his disciples, Yuanshi Tianzun finally began to teach the general outline of the Chan Sect's thousands of divine powers and tens of thousands of Daoist arts—the Golden Proclamation of Primordial Beginning.

This Golden Proclamation of Primordial Beginning was created by Yuanshi Tianzun by combining Xuanmen Daoist arts with the inheritance of Pangu. It contained countless wondrous and exquisite cultivation essentials.

The minds of all the disciples were directly pulled into the Chaos World.

Within the vast chaos, a giant, standing tall with his head touching the sky and his feet on the ground, trod upon the ten thousand Daos. With every move he made, he controlled the heavens and enslaved the Daos. His gaze pierced through the ages, from the World Creation all the way to the Immeasurable Calamity.

As the giant raised his hand, Dao was born and Dao was destroyed. Countless mysteries were manifested—evolving the Infinite, transforming Yin and Yang, separating Qiankun, reversing life and death...

This method of transmitting the Dharma was like stuffing the Great Dao directly into the disciples' mouths and even helping them chew it. All the disciples had to do was exert that final bit of effort to swallow the Great Dao into their bellies.

Meng Chen cherished this opportunity. With undivided attention, he devoted himself entirely to comprehension, engraving all the various methods within the Golden Proclamation of Primordial Beginning into his heart.

The Seal of Infinity, the Seal of Dao's Oneness, the Seal of Creation, the Seal of Heaven Overturning, the Seal of Yin and Yang, the Seal of Four Symbols, the Seal of Void, the Seal of Earth, the Seal of Primordial Heart...

Each of the nine divine powers contained within the Golden Proclamation of Primordial Beginning pointed directly to the origin of the Great Dao. Unconsciously, Meng Chen's body began to move along with the giant, following the giant's left hand and right hand in each motion.

In Yuanshi Tianzun's original plan, it would have been extremely difficult for these disciples of his to grasp even three divine powers. For instance, Guang Chengzi had only comprehended the Seal of Creation, the Seal of Heaven Overturning, and the Seal of Void.

He had only taught it once, and Meng Chen had already comprehended all of his Primordial Nine Seals. This performance had already exceeded the level that should be expected of someone at Meng Chen's realm.

However, when Yuanshi Tianzun thought about Meng Chen's background, he was no longer surprised.

The Meng Zhang Divine Lord was a big shot from the same era as the Primordial Dragon. Most of the early treasures from the World Creation had fallen into the hands of the big shots from the Meng Zhang Divine Lord's era.

Meng Chen was the only son of the Meng Zhang Divine Lord, who had placed great hopes on him. The Meng Zhang Divine Lord had piled all the benefits onto Meng Chen, forging a foundation for him that could rival that of a Primordial Saint.
