Guang Chengzi was formally accepted by Yuanshi Tianzun, who bestowed the high-grade Innate Spiritual Treasures Paired Swords of Yin and Yang and Rainbow Sweeping Robe upon him. During Yuanshi's early instruction, he comprehended the Seal of Creation, Seal of Heaven Overturning, and Seal of Void—three of the Primordial Nine Seals. 2 3

He became Meng Chen's junior brother and one of his closest supporters within the Chan Sect. Guang Chengzi is deeply loyal to Yuanshi Tianzun, Meng Chen, and the Teaching. He measures his own achievements against their expectations rather than treating his rapid advancement as grounds for independence.
