Arc 9Kusagakure and the Byakugan

Jin expanded his influence by destroying Kusagakure, building ties in Konoha, and confronting Danzo over his experiments on infants. The arc ended with Kiyoshi Hyuga and five Branch Family members stealing the clan’s stored Byakugan, while Jin sent the five to the Land of Rain and promised to protect Kiyoshi.

  • Jin recruited Tsunade and Minato Namikaze into his Research and Development Department, then investigated Kusagakure’s intrusion into the Land of Rain.

Arc 10Jin Takes the Mantle

Uchiha Jin intervened in the Hyuga Clan, expanded the Land of Rain’s strength, and maneuvered through conflicts with Iwagakure and Kumogakure. Back in Konoha, Kagami’s death and Fugaku’s departure cleared the way for Jin to become Uchiha clan head, while Hiruko intercepted Fugaku at the Land of Iron border.

  • Jin rescued Kiyoshi Hyuga from Yufang Hyuga, demonstrated that his darkness could defeat the Caged Bird, and later agreed to give Hiruzen Sarutobi the suppression technique.

Arc 11The Valley of the End

Jin took control of Root, expanded the Land of Rain’s power, and drew Sunagakure into a costly alliance while White Fang’s failed mission made him a target of Konoha’s anger. After preparing for his departure, Jin challenged White Fang to a fight to the death, and their battle at the Valley of the End remained unresolved.

  • Fugaku returned with Hiruko and challenged Jin over the Great Elder’s death, but Jin defeated him and claimed the Uchiha clan-head position.
  • Jin ended the Uchiha’s monthly meetings, strengthened his abilities, and traveled to the Land of Rain as Danzo prepared to attack Kusagakure.
  • Jin made Shiranoka commander of the Land of Rain’s new Medical Corps, which recruited volunteers including Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato.

Arc 12Konoha’s Fall and Aftermath

Uchiha Jin united the major villages in an assault on Konoha, using the raid to secure research materials and publicly emerge as the Kage of Kusagakure. After Konoha prepared for war, Jin strengthened his position in the Land of Rain while the villages pursued new techniques from the stolen research.

  • Uchiha Jin defeated White Fang, but Sakumo Hatake later died by suicide, leaving Kakashi grieving and Jin condemning the village’s betrayal.
  • Jin awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, recruited the major villages into a plan against Konoha, and negotiated cooperation with Madara Uchiha.
  • Jin brought the Kage to Konoha, where they attacked the village while he led his own group toward the Research and Development Department.
