Spirit Hall has existed for more than ten thousand years. It was originally established to combat Evil Soul Masters, whose presence on the continent was kept comparatively contained under its rule 153. It also built public trust through free martial soul awakenings for commoners, though some corrupt local personnel illegally charged fees 267.

Its educational arm, Spirit Hall Academy, has a history of over seven thousand years and includes junior branch schools in major cities as well as an advanced academy in Spirit City 56 99. Fire Cloud Crane Sacrifice

The Sacrifice of the Hundred-Thousand-Year Fire Cloud Crane drew Spirit Hall's attention alongside other major powers. It dispatched experts to locate and recruit or eliminate Han Yu after he acquired the soul beast's Soul Ring and Soul Bone 4.

Recruitment of Han Yu

Spirit Hall repeatedly attempted to recruit Han Yu through its academy and leadership. He received an appointment to teach at a Spirit Hall junior academy, was later offered positions by Bibi Dong, and eventually accepted Qian Renxue's invitation to join the Worship Hall rather than the Papal Hall 22 56 79.

Qian Daoliu granted Han Yu a six-emblem Pope Token denoting Spirit Hall elder status and an Angel Token identifying him as the future Eighth Elder of the Worship Hall 98.

Academy Expansion

Spirit Hall assessed Han Yu for the position of dean at Spirit Hall Academy and supported publication of his cultivation theories through its channels 99 100. After Bibi Dong approved Han Yu's proposed academy, Spirit Hall agreed to provide resources and teachers for its establishment 104 114.

Anti–Evil Soul Master Campaign

Following attacks on Spirit Crane Douluo, Ghost Leopard Douluo, and Azure Luan Douluo, Spirit Hall convened the Council of Elders to address the emergence of Titled Douluo-level Evil Soul Masters 253. Han Yu, Azure Luan Douluo, and Light Feather Douluo later led an encirclement operation against Evil Soul Masters in West Hanging City 259.

Spirit Hall publicly announced only the elimination of Wolf Thieves after the operation, concealing the Evil Soul Masters' large-scale appearance to prevent continental panic. It awarded pensions to fallen personnel and Medals of Bravery to survivors 267.

Internal Reform

Evidence of local corruption, including the oppression of commoners in Geng Xin City, prompted Han Yu to press for an Elder Council session on Spirit Hall's internal affairs 267. Soul Hunting Operation

Spirit Hall planned the Soul Hunting Operation against the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, and powerful soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest 334. Its forces attacked the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan simultaneously, while the Clear Sky Sect was surrounded rather than directly assaulted 337.

During the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan operation, Spirit Hall sealed escape routes, deployed its army, eliminated the clan's remaining defenders, and removed evidence from the battlefield 336 339.

Continental War

As conflict escalated between the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires, Spirit Hall positioned itself as a force for continental peace while preserving the Heaven Dou Empire for Qian Renxue's rule 349. It later supported the Heaven Dou Empire with Titled Douluo and allied sects during the counterattack against Star Luo 428.
