Background / History

Yu Xiaogang is the son of Yu Yuanzhen, Sect Master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family. Because he did not awaken the family's Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul, he was forced from the family; he later retained a Pope Token and was known as a former Spirit Hall Elder. 93 197 204

He developed a reputation as the “Grandmaster” through his martial-soul theories, particularly the Ten Core Competitiveness of Martial Soul. At Nuoding Academy, however, teachers and students regarded him as a freeloader who ate and drank without payment, interfered with faculty work, and presented long-established theories as his own. 19 26

Yu took Tang San as his disciple and directed his early Blue Silver Grass cultivation toward toughness, poison, and control-oriented soul skills. Tang San treated this guidance as absolute due to his belief that “a teacher for a day is a father for life.” 2 23

Nuoding Academy

Yu Xiaogang clashes with Han Yu over Tang San and Xiao Wu's absences, then confronts Han Yu after the latter mocks his theories. Han Yu beats him unconscious, leaving him bruised and missing four front teeth. 1 2 5

Arrival at Shrek Academy

Conflict with Han Yu and Imprisonment
