Background / History

Han Yu was a transmigrator from Earth who took over the body of a young Soul Master after its original owner died while helping a student hunt a Soul Ring. The original body had only level-four innate soul power and an ordinary Firewood Stick Martial Soul, but Han Yu cultivated relentlessly and reached level 40 within four years. Director Su subsequently resigned as Nuoding Academy's Director of Academic Affairs and personally appointed Han Yu as his successor. 1

At level 40, Han Yu's dormant system issued a six-month deadline: obtain a 100,000-year fourth Soul Ring to unlock a second Martial Soul and upgrade his first. He chose to seek a soul beast approaching Heavenly Tribulation rather than target Xiao Wu, judging Tang Hao's likely retaliation too dangerous. 1 3

The resulting opportunity gave him a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bone, the Fire Cloud Staff, a red fourth Soul Ring, and the Fallen Heart Flame.
