Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Nuoding Academy as a work-study student and challenged Wang Sheng, the previous Dormitory Seven boss. After defeating him, she established herself as the dormitory's new “Big Sister.” 12

She met Tang San and Gula in Dormitory Seven. Drawn to Tang San by an instinctive, bloodline-deep closeness, she accepted Gula's wager and fought Tang San for a mysterious treasure. She won after Tang San underestimated her, receiving a Great Ball that became her portable home. 13

Gula's appraisal identified her as a Fairy/Fighting-type “Pokémon” with Champion-Level potential and Individual Values of 163. He also recognized that she was a Human Form Transformation Soul Beast, though Xiao Wu initially concealed this identity. 13 34

After returning to the Star Dou Great Forest, Xiao Wu gathered Soul Bones and Storage Soul Tools from the remains of trespassing Soul Masters with Er Ming's help. She intended to give the Soul Bones to Gula both to secure her secret and to reduce the number of Soul Beasts he would need to kill. 40

Xiao Wu later admitted her Soul Beast identity to Gula and Tang San. The three became sworn siblings, with Xiao Wu taking the position of Third Sister. 46

Appearance

Xiao Wu is a rabbit-eared girl with a lively, youthful appearance. Her Martial Soul and Soul Power are associated with pink coloration and, later, moonlight-like silver radiance.

  • Pink eyes.
  • Fair complexion and pink lips.
  • Snow-white rabbit ears.
  • Scorpion Tail Braid, later described with a pink ribbon.
  • Pink Soul Power.
  • After beginning Moonlight Evolution, silver light appears within her eyes. 13 48

Personality

Xiao Wu is assertive, competitive, and deeply proud of her position as Dormitory Seven's Big Sister. She enjoys challenging others, boasts openly after victories, and dislikes being lectured. When Gula defeats or embarrasses her, her strong sense of shame can turn quickly into anger. 13 17 42

Her appraisal describes her as stubborn, willful, mischievous, and lazy, traits repeatedly reflected in her preference for food, stories, play, and teasing over serious study. She is nevertheless eager to learn when properly motivated and becomes committed to cultivation when confronting her fear of failing to avenge her mother. 13 31 41

Despite her tough front, Xiao Wu is compassionate toward Soul Beasts and conflicted about hunting them for her own Soul Ring development. She values Gula's support, secretly enjoys his concern, and gives him the Soul Bones and medicinal herbs she collected. 40 42 44

Abilities & Skills

Soft Bone Rabbit Martial Soul

Xiao Wu's Martial Soul is a Soft Bone Rabbit. Gula guides it toward an Astral Attribute evolution based on the power of the moon, ultimately planning for it to become an Astral Attribute Great Yin Jade Rabbit. 34 45

  • Possesses Innate Full Soul Power. 13
  • As a Soul Beast in human form, she can condense Soul Rings from her own abilities or expend Origin to replicate compatible Soul Beast rings. 44 48
  • Her imperfect human transformation originally required Metamorphosis at level 70; Play Rough may reduce this threshold to level 60. 42

Eight-Section Drop

A self-created Soul Skill likely taught by her mother. Once it locks onto an opponent, it is difficult to interrupt without a major disparity in strength. 17

  • Delivers eight rapid, powerful slams after securing a target.
  • Relies on getting close and locking the opponent.
  • Gula considers it less practical against opponents capable of lethal counterattacks or Martial Soul Avatar transformations. 17 32

Play Rough

A transferable self-created Soul Skill taught by Gula. 42

  • Can be activated from most parts of her body.
  • Has a 10% chance to lower an enemy's attack power by 33%.
  • Opens new Soul Power meridians and improves her control over Pink Soul Power.
  • Can continue growing in power, potentially reaching the force of a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Skill at Title Douluo level. 42

Moon-Guiding Clone

Her second Soul Skill, created through a Moonlight Worm Soul Ring. 48

  • Draws moonlight to accelerate cultivation by 10% to 100%, depending on moonlight intensity.
  • Creates four Moon Shadow Clones in battle.
  • Each clone has 50% of Xiao Wu's full attributes and access to all her Soul Skills.
  • Clones can persist for up to half an hour if not destroyed. 48

Moonlight Ribbons

A Mega Evolution ability that binds moonlight through Spiritual Power. 80

  • Provides flexible control effects comparable to Blue Silver Grass.
  • Allows interference with opponents during combat.
  • Requires moonlight energy.
  • Normally cannot be used together with Moon-Guiding Clone because both draw on moonlight; abundant moonlight removes this limitation. 80

Moon Shadow Flash

Her third Soul Skill, gained after absorbing the Silver Ring Bee Queen's Soul Ring. 90 91

  • Teleports Xiao Wu over a distance.
  • Disrupts the target's Soul Power flow.
  • Can be combined deceptively with a clone to misdirect opponents. 91

Equipment / Items

  • Great Ball — A spatial Soul Tool given to her by Gula after she defeats Tang San; it contains a large room and lake, functioning as a portable home. 13
  • Thousand-Year Soul Bone — Brought back from the Star Dou Great Forest as a gift for Gula. 41
  • Storage Soul Tool — Used to transfer the Soul Bones and medicinal herbs she collected to Gula. 42

Relationships

  • Gula — Mentor, sworn elder brother, and frequent sparring partner. He guides her Spiritual Power awakening, Martial Soul evolution, and training; Xiao Wu trusts him with her identity and treasures despite maintaining a defiant “Big Sister” façade. 16 42 46
  • Tang San — Sworn elder brother and close companion. They experience an immediate instinctive closeness on meeting, later support one another's cultivation, and become sworn siblings with Gula. 13 46 80
  • Er Ming — Her loyal Soul Beast brother in the Star Dou Great Forest. He gathers herbs and searches tirelessly for Soul Bones at her request. 40
  • Da Ming — One of her Soul Beast brothers; Xiao Wu recalls him mentioning Moonlight Worms. 45
  • Wang Sheng — Former Dormitory Seven boss whom Xiao Wu defeats; he remains deferential to her authority. 12 41
  • Yu Xiaogang — Academy teacher whose research is aided by Xiao Wu's firsthand knowledge of Soul Ring integration. 91
