Background / History

The Netherworld Realm was originally a world where the Ghost Dao and Demon Dao flourished more strongly than in many other realms. At its height, it possessed cultivators at Yin God Nine Refinements and even native Yang God experts. 236 237

Approximately a thousand years before the realm's revival, Yellow Springs entered the Netherworld Realm to nurture a Dao Fruit. Two of its members were reportedly sufficient to suppress the realm's forces; Yellow Springs used the native Yang Gods as conduits to extract world origin, leaving them drained. The resulting loss of world origin drastically reduced spiritual energy and ended the realm's ability to produce or sustain Yang God powers. 237 453

The realm later began recovering through the Blood Moons. Its revival brought hidden Ghost Dao and Demon Dao sects back into the open, reopened its Inner World, and transformed the previously obscure realm into a contested destination for cultivators from across the Three Thousand Worlds. 238 279 305

Inner World

The Inner World is much larger than an ordinary secret realm and possesses spiritual energy comparable to major worlds. Its landscapes include barren plains, ancient mountains, dense forests, and the Northern Wasteland. 284 285 307 421

• Vast scars, craters, and ravines across its terrain are remnants of an ancient, world-shattering conflict; their scale suggests combatants far beyond ordinary cultivators. 285

World Consciousness

Before complete revival, the Netherworld Realm's limited spiritual energy and world consciousness rejected external Yang God True Monarchs. Such cultivators could enter only by actively lowering their cultivation to the Yin God realm. 361 376

Following complete revival, the realm could support Yang God True Monarchs in their true forms, removing that restriction and intensifying foreign intervention. 392 393
