After the Lin family’s Qilin Child was rescued, Guanyin secretly passed him off as Tathagata’s reincarnation while the true reincarnation, Qiao Ling, grew up unnoticed. Eighteen years later, Wu Tian captured Lin Fu, but a streak of Golden Light whisked him away before Wu Tian could devour him.

  • Black-robed figures led by the Giant Scorpion massacred the Lin family and abducted their newborn, but Sun Wukong, Xuanzang, and Guanyin rescued him.
  • Guanyin discovered that the Lin child was ordinary and concealed this from the others, intending to use him as a decoy while protecting Tathagata’s true reincarnation.

Sun Wukong freed the imprisoned Immortals and Gods, who found the Heavenly Court controlled by the Great Black Lotus, while Fotu planned to wait for a breakthrough before reclaiming Spirit Mountain.
