Betrayal and apprenticeship

Jiang Chen was originally a disciple of the Three Corpses Sect. Her fellow disciples betrayed and maimed her, leaving her with broken and severed limbs at the bottom of a mountain pit. A spirit-form cultivator named A Qing found her, eased her pain, and offered a means to restore her body through Corpse Cultivation. 118

Desperate to live and avenge herself, Jiang Chen knocked her head three times to become A Qing's disciple. He taught her the Blood Control Technique, personally shared the pain of her damaged meridians, and guided her recovery. 118 119 120

Although she intended to leave after recovering, A Qing had expected it from the beginning and moved the cave's sealing stone in advance, carving a farewell message for her. 121 122

Azure Corpse Sect

Jiang Chen returned to the Three Corpses Sect and systematically took revenge on the disciples who had betrayed her. She used fear and delayed punishment to break her former Eldest Sister psychologically before confronting her. 122

Afterward, she became sect leader and renamed the nearly ruined Three Corpses Sect the Azure Corpse Sect. Over two years, the sect gained standing in the Corpse Cultivation world under her leadership. Sima Family imprisonment

The Sima Family imprisoned her for a century, repeatedly extracting her blood to improve their descendants' Corpse Cultivation. Jiang Chen emerged as President of the Nanhua District Chamber of Commerce, killed Sima Zhao when he challenged her claim, and retained Sima Shi as Vice President. 114
