Background

Yu Ye was a prisoner when Ji Qinglin encountered her. She initially gave “Yu Ye” as her name after hesitation, then explained it as “a warm and gentle night”; her original identity and past remained unknown. She was cautious around Ji Qinglin but stood by him when a puppet assassin attacked, beginning their relationship through mutual danger and protection 3 4.

After joining Ji Qinglin’s general store as a probationary disciple, Yu Ye chose body cultivation over soul cultivation and accepted his test of unconditional trust in exchange for a Grade A Stealing Immortal Path Meridian Set 6 7. She ultimately accepted meridians extracted from Sang Feng, despite misgivings over their origin, and underwent transplantation surgery 12 13 22.

Yu Ye shares her body with a second Soul Consciousness originally called Crazy Night, later known as Red Night.
