Background & History
Qin Luming is the only male descendant of the Qin family’s third generation. His older sister, Qin Qin, is less than two years his senior; she later returns to help manage the family businesses. Though his family is financially secure, Qin Luming prefers living independently and declines Qin Qin’s offer to move into a villa near his school. 49
Before the main events, Qin Luming suffered injuries to his hands that resisted healing. He later learned that his left and right hands had transmigrated to another world and returned as the girls Zuozuo and Caicai. The girls initially appeared at the hospital during his withdrawn period, and his family allowed them to remain because they improved his mood; Qin Luming’s mother eventually arranged their household registrations and identification cards. 4 49
He attends college without living in his assigned dormitory, despite paying the accommodation fee. He is approachable and generous with male classmates, including Guo Gaoming and Diao Ligang, while remaining comparatively indifferent toward female classmates. 7
Qin Luming writes web novels but considers himself inexperienced, estimating that he has written only two to three hundred thousand characters. His work reaches the signing standard and is formally contracted by a platform, though he struggles to maintain stable updates. 23 24 40
Appearance
Qin Luming is of average height with a handsome appearance and slender fingers. His present appearance differs noticeably from the photograph on his identification card. 3 12 16
- Often carries a black-and-white ink-print folding umbrella. 3
- Can manifest the Super Mysterious Metal Gloves over his arms when summoning Zuozuo and Caicai. 47
- Has changed enough in appearance that police officers question his ID photograph. 12
Personality
Qin Luming is analytical, cautious, and unusually calm around supernatural threats. After witnessing Zhou Nan kill Ma Shilong, he quickly concludes that fictional characters may kill their authors to remain in reality, then retreats rather than confronting her recklessly. He later tracks the disappearances of the Zinc Factory and Mentougou Steel Bridge, identifying a line that leads toward the abandoned dam. 3 24
He is cooperative with legitimate authorities but guarded with those he distrusts. He provides the police with Gu Qing'an's phone and the location where he found it, yet dismisses private investigator Ke Mu until the investigator presents relevant information. 12 21 22
Despite his pragmatism, Qin Luming is protective of Zuozuo and Caicai. He reassures them that he will not leave them behind if he crosses into another world, indulges them with toys and meals, and repeatedly asks Fairy Jiang to spare them from consequences tied to their past in the Divine Kingdom. 18 20 48
He has exceptionally high standards for romance and writes his ideal female lead in the hope that she could become real. 16 21 45
