Background / History

Years before the main events, Qin Luming suffered severe injuries to both hands; their muscles weakened, nerve responses slowed, and atrophy began. Caicai and Zuozuo appeared beside his hospital bed with two gloves of “Super Mysterious Metal,” explaining that his hands had transmigrated into another world and become the two girls. Their return allowed Qin Luming’s hands to recover gradually. 4

Caicai is Qin Luming’s right hand in the literal sense. When he wears the gloves, beams of light emerge from his palms and Caicai and Zuozuo manifest as separate girls; when they merge with him again, the gloves disappear into his skin. 4 21

Her past in the Divine Kingdom is revealed after Fairy Jiang arrives on Earth. Caicai and Zuozuo fled through a spatial rift while Fairy Jiang fought the Abyssal Evil Dragon, abandoning their posts as legion leaders. Their departure triggered their tribe’s wider retreat. 47 48

Caicai has little attachment to the Divine Kingdom and openly fears war. Fairy Jiang concludes that the twins’ shared fearfulness and short-sightedness made them compatible with the Bishou Tribe, whose Divine Maiden Tree produced them after their transmigration. 48

Qin Luming’s mother eventually secured household registration and identification cards for Caicai and Zuozuo. Qin Qin later opened bank accounts for them and deposited pocket money. 49 50

Caicai resembles Zuozuo closely enough to be mistaken for her twin, though the two are distinguishable on closer inspection. She appears to be about fourteen or fifteen years old. 4

Caicai constantly bickers with Zuozuo, trading insults such as “fat cabbage” and “fat pig’s trotters.” Their fights can become physical, yet they routinely cooperate on household work and remain inseparable. 4 10

Although mischievous, Caicai can be self-conscious around strangers. She hid when police visitors arrived because she worried that riding a robot vacuum would make her seem strange. 12
