Rebellion against Isshiki

Kaguya originally served Isshiki within the Ōtsutsuki clan’s sacrificial hierarchy. To avoid becoming nourishment for the Ten-Tails and Divine Tree, she ambushed and severely injured him. Believing she had escaped his control, she sought refuge among humans and hoped to obtain strength through other means 307 314 388.

Her trust in humanity eventually gave way to betrayal and hostility. She used the God Tree to turn humans into White Zetsu, including the woman loved by her eldest son, Hagoromo. After discovering the sacrifices and listening to the Great Toad Sage, Hagoromo and Hamura turned against her and sealed her with Six Paths Chibaku Tensei 313 346.

A Thousand Years of Confinement

Kaguya’s sealed space at the Moon’s core was only a few square meters, without light or sound. Within her spiritual world, however, she maintained a peaceful landscape of wooden palaces, streams, birds, and cherry blossoms. Black Zetsu found her there after spending the intervening era attempting to revive her 306.

Unsealing and Capture

Black Zetsu enlisted Isshiki and Momoshiki to break the seal, concealing its intention to help Kaguya escape them. She possesses tremendous power but initially lacks the combat judgment to use it effectively.
