Background / History

Ingetsu transmigrated to Konoha and spent his first week pursuing the power necessary to survive. As an Uchiha Military Police Force captain, he slaughtered fellow officers and collected their Sharingan, completing a system task that awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan. He deliberately left Inaho alive to witness the aftermath and draw in Uchiha reinforcements before defecting from Konoha. 1

His Mangekyō ability, Eight Thousand Spears, became the foundation of his rise. Ingetsu used it to dominate pursuing ninja, absorb chakra from marked allies and enemies, and turn powerful opponents into resources. He later absorbed other Mangekyō Sharingan, including Itachi’s, expanding his arsenal beyond his original dōjutsu. 26 36 75 76

Although he accepts responsibility for killing elite Uchiha during the massacre, Ingetsu maintains that he preserved surviving clan members so the Uchiha could endure and eventually strike back at Konoha’s stronger forces. He leads the surviving Uchiha through repeated battles against Root, Konoha pursuers, Obito’s forces, and the Hidden Mist’s enemies. 46 127

After helping suppress the tailed-beast crisis in the Hidden Mist, Ingetsu demands tailed beasts, ninja swords, and the Water Transformation Technique as payment. He intends to establish a new Uchiha-led ninja village, with the Hidden Mist serving as an ally and potential tributary. 112

Ingetsu eventually occupies and rebuilds Konoha, uses Impure World Reincarnation to restore hundreds of Uchiha, and integrates them into the village’s power structure. The revived Uchiha elders and ninja acknowledge him as their leader and Hokage. 145 146 149

His ambitions later expand beyond the Uchiha’s survival. Ingetsu prepares the Shinobi World for the arrival of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, captures or subdues several Ōtsutsuki threats, and unifies the Shinobi World under Konoha’s leadership. 257 330 432 482

Appearance

Ingetsu is a handsome young man with short black hair and a straight, tall posture. He initially wears the Uchiha Military Police Force uniform and carries a ninja sword on his back. 1

He is pragmatic rather than indiscriminately destructive. Ingetsu killed Uchiha to gain the power needed to preserve the clan’s future, but he considers himself responsible for restoring its dignity and ensuring its survival. 1 127
