Background / History

Tsunade initially watches Konoha's campaign against Uchiha Ingetsu from a distance with Shizune and Jiraiya. Though dismissive of Konoha's affairs, she remains concerned for its ninja and is visibly affected by the conflict. 59

Ingetsu seeks her out soon afterward. He captures her and intends to use her medical expertise for his developing force; Shizune offers herself in Tsunade's place, but Ingetsu instead takes Shizune while sparing Tsunade. 75 76 Tsunade is later shown to bear Ingetsu's Eight Thousand Spears imprint, allowing him to forcibly drain her chakra. 98
