Magic Knights Examination (Second Update)

"You're... Nokia?"

After seeing George's appearance, Magna froze for two seconds, a thoughtful look appearing on his face before he asked uncertainly.

He knew all the children from Soxi Village. After all, he had often gone there back then.

But several years had passed, and many children had changed in appearance as they grew up. On top of that, George's current demeanor was vastly different from Nokia's.

That was why he could not be completely sure.

"Long time no see, Magna. I changed my name to George!"

George did not deny his identity. There was no need for him to hide anything—he was Nokia now.

Nor was there any need to imitate his former personality and temper.

People changed after not seeing each other for years, especially children, who changed the most. It was a perfectly reasonable explanation.

"It really is you! Why are you here? Did something happen to the village?"

Magna first gave George a warm hug, then a puzzled expression appeared on his face.

Though he was not from Soxi Village, the village chief of Soxi Village had been something of a guiding teacher in his life.

If not for the village chief's encouragement, he would still be a muddleheaded little delinquent.

So if Soxi Village was in trouble, he would definitely go back to help.

"No. I came to the Royal Capital to take the Magic Knights examination, but I ran into the captain at a casino last night. He recruited me early."

George gave him a rough explanation of what had happened.

Magna was not surprised at all that the captain had gambled away even his pants and recruited George as a squad member over a gamble.

Because that really was the captain's style.

What surprised him was that George had such incredible gambling skills.
