"I want you dead!" The mocking tone finally snapped Orochi King's nerves. He opened his mouth and spat, sending a glob of purple liquid shooting toward Wu Yan like a bullet at incredible speed!
Though he acted disdainful toward Orochi King on the surface, Wu Yan had long since steeled himself. No matter how childish or arrogant his opponent was, level 50 was no joke!
Wu Yan knew there were only five levels between himself and Orochi King, but let alone five levels—even if Wu Yan were level 49, just one level below him, Wu Yan still would not have been confident of winning. After all, this was a difference in ranks!

"Be careful!" Having already realized that Wu Yan intended to fight alone, Mikoto immediately activated her power. Blue-white currents surged over her body as she grabbed Hinagiku beside her and stretched out a hand toward the wall. The two of them shot backward as though being pulled by ropes.
"You still think you can escape before this king? What a joke!" Orochi King let out a wild laugh. Thinking Mikoto and Hinagiku were trying to flee, he opened his mouth and spat a glob of venom at Mikoto.
Would level 69 Mikoto take an attack from level 50 Orochi King seriously? The answer was no. Without even looking at it, she merely intensified the current around her body, and the venom was electrolyzed away.
Orochi King froze at the sight. While he was stunned, a fierce gust arrived behind him. Wu Yan held Tessaiga behind him, head lowered as he faced Orochi King's back.
"Getting distracted in battle..." Wu Yan spoke one of those clichéd lines found in every melodramatic show as he swung Tessaiga down at Orochi King's neck. "...can get you killed!"...
The corner of Orochi King's mouth curled into a sinister smile. Facing Wu Yan's slash, he merely twisted his neck, and it stretched forward in a bizarre fashion, causing Wu Yan's strike to miss. Without moving his body, Orochi King turned his head backward. His snake eyes locked onto Wu Yan's face as he fired venom at it.
Wu Yan cursed inwardly. You're actually copying Snake Uncle's body modification, and you're even trying to spray my face? It's not like you're a girl!
Wu Yan was still in the middle of his slash. Seeing the venom shoot toward him, he did not pull back his blade and retreat. Instead, he swung down with even greater force. Tessaiga struck the ground and buried itself deep in the stone. Wu Yan exerted strength through the hand gripping the hilt, pulling himself forward and dodging the venom rushing at his face.
Orochi King was thoroughly surprised by Wu Yan's move, seemingly having never expected it. Wu Yan showed no mercy, spinning around to slam a punch into him and sending him flying.
Orochi King's face darkened with anger as he flew backward. He swung his leg with force, and with that motion, his leg suddenly stretched out, kicking the startled Wu Yan away.
Damn it, he could even use Luffy's moves!
Still complaining inwardly, Wu Yan soon crashed to the ground alongside Orochi King. In their first exchange, neither had gained the upper hand!...
