Background / History
Zhe Han first approached Yang An in white robes and recruited him into the Traitorous Scripture Society, presenting membership as a way for people like them—Innate Flesh Scourges—to seek survival. He gave Yang An the Vile-Mouthed Bow and identified himself only as the Workshop Master. The bow's provenance later revealed him as the master of Jade Lang Artifact Forging Workshop. 112
As the society's unseen organizer, he used the Flesh-Tree for long-distance communication and container teleportation. He directed missions to Jueyun Sect, warned members when their teleportation left them trapped in an independent space, and intervened in internal disputes with final authority. 120 125 142
After recovering a forbidden artifact fragment from Jueyun Sect, Zhe Han merged it with the Flesh-Tree and began experimenting on himself as a template to help Innate Flesh Scourges break through into the Flesh Rupture Realm. The procedure could succeed or fail and left varying after-effects, but Broken Hand and White Bird both completed their breakthroughs through it. 153 237
He later made Yang An the operational leader of the Traitorous Scripture Society, while retaining decisive influence over its direction. His stated objective was to return to the Central Continent; he entrusted Yang An with unifying the society because Yang An had the greatest chance of achieving that goal. 283 295
In the Central Continent, Zhe Han revealed that he had cooperated with Miao Ye, the Lesser Heavenly Dao, to save the Origin World or, failing that, revive the Central Continent. He described himself as the last remaining remnant of the Four Great Heavenly Sects and carried their will. 447 448
During the confrontation with Ming He, Zhe Han fought to buy Yang An time to reach the Immortal Platform Realm. When Ming He used the true Wei Dang Xie Arrow against him, Zhe Han's mask shattered and revealed a face identical to Yang An's original face. Ming He explained that Zhe Han was another version of Yang An, guided by Miao Ye; Zhe Han then vanished as his memories, power, and the Flesh-Tree were transferred to Yang An. 450 452
Appearance
Zhe Han normally conceals himself beneath a white robe, hood, and patterned white mask, making his identity and features inaccessible to most of the Traitorous Scripture Society. 112 447
- White robe and hood. 112 295
- White mask covered in countless lines; its pattern can change. 295 447
- Tree-like roots and branches can emerge from his body. 447 452
- His true face is identical to Yang An's original face. 452
Personality
Zhe Han presents himself as a calm, calculating merchant. He frames knowledge, artifacts, rescue, and cooperation as transactions, often withholding information until a mutually beneficial exchange is established. 292 447
Despite his evasiveness, he generally honors his arrangements with the Traitorous Scripture Society. He warns members of the risks in his experiments, provides artifacts tailored to their needs, and avoids involving himself in members' private affairs unless they ask for help. 153 283
He is pragmatic about sacrifice and long-term planning. His partnership with Yang An rests on utility rather than sentiment, though he repeatedly protects Yang An when Yang An is essential to their shared objectives. 283 327 450
Abilities & Skills
Artifact Forging
Zhe Han forges unusual magic artifacts whose functions are powerful but commonly carry severe usage costs.
- Crafted the sentient Vile-Mouthed Bow. 112
- Created the Moro Buddha Aperture from Buddha and demon bones; it creates an additional magic-power aperture, triples ordinary absorption and condensation speed, and can block one Stiff God Realm attack at the cost of temporarily reducing its user to a mortal after activation. 153
- Forged the Soul-Fixing Box, which temporarily imprisons souls. 319
- Provided communication rings that replace many Flesh-Tree functions and grant Yang An limited container-teleportation authority. 296
- Made a single-use artifact that opened a passage to the Outer Continent, allowing Yang An to escape the Huan Kan Festival's Three Prohibitions. 283
Flesh-Tree Network
Zhe Han created and manages the Flesh-Tree, a system embedded in the consciousness of Traitorous Scripture Society members.
- Enables communication across vast distances and even across separate spaces. 125 153
- Supports container teleportation, though the function can be disabled during experiments or blocked by isolated spaces. 120 125 153
- Served as the basis for his forbidden-artifact experiments on Innate Flesh Scourges. 153
- Withered and disappeared when Zhe Han vanished into Yang An. 452
Forbidden Artifact Research
Zhe Han possesses extensive knowledge of forbidden artifacts, which he defines as embodiments of rules rather than mere functional tools.
- Explained that cultivators and demons need sufficient forbidden artifact fragments to reach the Stiff God Realm. 143
- Explained that a complete forbidden artifact must be fused at the peak of Stiff God Realm to enter the Gui Dao Realm. 143
- Used a forbidden artifact fragment merged into the Flesh-Tree to develop a breakthrough method for Innate Flesh Scourges. 153 237
- Can create lesser artifacts that extract or borrow rule power from sealed items. 292
Borrowed Heavenly Dao Power
Though his displayed cultivation was only Ghost Dao Realm, Zhe Han could borrow Miao Ye's Lesser Heavenly Dao power.
- Distorted Yang An's attacks before they could touch him. 448
- Turned the surrounding space into an inescapable cage during his test of Yang An. 448
