History

Secret Mage

As the legitimate daughter of the Crownguard Family, Luxanna initially lives as a sheltered noblewoman while concealing her status as a mage. She receives the Magic Book from a wandering mage and develops a close bond with the scholarly soul within it, which guides her magical studies and warns her of Demacia’s coming changes. 135

Fearing exile or imprisonment by the Mage Seekers, she keeps her magic hidden even from Garen. Her concern for Garen’s setbacks against Noxus and her teacher’s advice ultimately lead her to seek out Tianna. 135 137

Support from Tianna and the Judgment Delegation

Luxanna confesses her magic to Tianna, who embraces her, promises to protect her, and entrusts her with rallying the Winged Protector God’s followers behind a pro-magic cause. 137

She approaches Fiora Laurent to secure an ally and steers her toward the Judgment Delegation. Though Luxanna initially acts according to the Magic Book’s plans, she comes to value Fiora’s trust and friendship. 149 150

At the Mage Seekers’ headquarters, Luxanna witnesses the cruelty faced by prisoners and insists on better treatment. She then meets Sylas, recognizes their shared status as mages, heals his legs, and offers him a place in a reformed Demacia. 173 174

Luxanna campaigns for the repeal of the Anti-Magic Edict, arguing that mages must neither be oppressed nor become masters over others. She proposes that Demacians confront and understand the persecution mages endured, while offering Sylas a future role in a new mage legion. 187

The referendum passes 66–26 in favor of abolition. Luxanna publicly reveals herself as a mage, and King Jarvan III formally abolishes the edict. 200

Minister of Magic

Following the repeal, Luxanna becomes Acting Minister of Magic and volunteers for a seat among the Eight Great Officials. 200

Luxanna eventually confirms that Ryan Meredith—the Trifarix Council President and founder of Rune Magic—was the teacher within her Magic Book. When he appears before her, she confronts him with the Demacian Royal Sword and fights him using both swordsmanship and light magic. 247

Although she could destroy Ryan’s weakened remnant soul, she cannot bring herself to strike the final blow. Ryan accepts her choice to prioritize Demacia, declares her his most outstanding student, and leaves her to pursue her own path. 247
