Shrek Academy had operated for ten thousand years by the time Han Yu arrived. It was widely known for producing exceptional graduates and carried a continent-wide reputation as the foremost soul master academy; before its defeat by Zheng Tian Academy, it was said to have won the Pan-continental Advanced Soul Master tournament championship every time for ten thousand years. 23 97

Bei Bei and Tang Ya brought Han Yu and Huo Yuhao to Shrek, where Han Yu passed the entrance assessment at level twenty-nine despite possessing a thousand-year second soul ring. 20 24 Han later criticized the academy's reputation and instructional model, arguing that its harsh, traditional training mainly filtered an already talented student body rather than proving that the method could cultivate ordinary students. 23 29
