Background / History

Gu Yue entered human society under the identity of a human Soul Master. Her original purpose was to infiltrate humanity, understand it, and advance a plan to restore Soul Beast dominance; she initially treated the role as an imitation of human behavior while retaining the pride of the Soul Beast Sovereign 62 79.

During the Class Promotion Tournament, she fought Lin Xuan with wind-element attacks and teleportation. She was distracted after sensing Tang Wulin’s Golden Dragon King bloodline, allowing Lin Xuan to accidentally touch her chest while stopping a powerful blow; the incident left her furious and strained her friendship with Tang Wulin 33 34.

Over time, Gu Yue became increasingly attached to Lin Xuan. She worked alongside Xu Xiaoyan, assisted Lin Xuan and Xu Xiaoyan’s Martial Soul Fusion Skill, and eventually confessed her feelings for Lin Xuan at the Spirit Pagoda 43 69 142. Her feelings remained conflicted because of her responsibility to the Soul Beast race and the secret of her true identity 79 151.

Gu Yue ultimately confessed that she was the Silver Dragon King, a God King-level Soul Beast whose initial purpose had been to destroy humanity. Lin Xuan revealed that he already knew both her identity and the Myriad Beast Platform plan, then showed that Di Tian and other Soul Beast commanders had submitted to him 334 335. After helping remove Tang Wulin’s Golden Dragon King bloodline, Gu Yue gained the bloodline and Dragon God Cores needed to pursue the Dragon God inheritance 336 337.

In her Spirit Pagoda identity, Gu Yue wears a cloud-white uniform dress with white ribbons tied into a flower at her chest. Her usual aloofness becomes less pronounced over time, giving way to a scholarly and composed bearing 142.

Her confidence often masks inexperience with human relationships. She struggles to answer Lin Xuan when he asks whether she can be trusted, because her initial infiltration mission and her growing feelings for him are in direct conflict 79. She later becomes playful and teasing around him, but remains deeply insecure about whether a human and the leader of Soul Beasts can truly be together 142 334.

Gu Yue is protective of those she accepts. She saves Xu Xiaoyan through spatial teleportation, attempts to stabilize Qian Gu Ling Hua when her life force is being drained, and agrees to save Tang Wulin despite the broader complications surrounding his bloodline 83 306 335.
