Background

Ji Lin is a transmigrator who arrived on the Douluo Continent six years before his martial soul awakening. During his second year in the world, his parents died while hunting soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest. His father had possessed the fire-attributed Crimson Flame Sword, while his mother was a neglected collateral descendant of the Star Crown Sect who had not inherited the Star Crown Martial Soul. The Star Crown Sect adopted the two-year-old Ji Lin and brought him from Star Meteor City to Star Luo City. 1

Within Star Luo City, Ji Lin became close to Princess Xu Jiujiu, who encouraged him to call her “Sister Jiujiu.” His awakening in the imperial palace produced Heavenly Fire Holy Judgment, a Tool Martial Soul with Ultimate Fire and Ultimate Destruction; its aura alarmed the Star Luo imperial family and their consecrators. 1 2
