Background / History

Wang Siming's security detail

Leng Feng was originally part of Wang Siming's security force at Villa Number One. During Meng De's assault on the villa, he and the other guards were held at knifepoint by Meng De's telekinetic weapons; Leng Feng, already a Second Order wind Ability User, recognized that resistance was futile. 49 51

Tie Zhu pleaded for Leng Feng's group to be spared, explaining that Leng Feng had deliberately allowed Tie Zhu and his companions to escape Wang Siming's control. Meng De accepted the plea and later took Leng Feng's group in. 51 53

Meng De considered the new recruits' loyalty uncertain and obtained a Seed of Consciousness to secure their allegiance. The Seed also increased the awakening chances of Meng De's subordinates; shortly afterward, Leng Feng and Tie Zhu were both documented as Second Order Ability Users. 53 57

Dragon Control Base guard captain

After Meng De subdued the villa-area bosses, Leng Feng's group's loyalty surpassed 90, reaching die-hard status. Leng Feng began addressing Meng De as “Boss” and was entrusted with detaining captives, interrogation, and base security. 57

He organized two-shift rooftop guard rotations at Villa Number One and provided Meng De with a map marking warehouse locations extracted from detained bosses. 61 As Dragon Control Base expanded, he became captain of its guard team and took responsibility for the island entrance's defenses. 94 95

Supply expeditions and retaliation

Leng Feng and Tie Zhu led supply-gathering parties outside the base. During one expedition, a force seeking revenge for Liang Guo Lin's death ambushed them. Leng Feng escaped while badly injured due to his wind Ability's speed, but Tie Zhu and the rest of their team were captured. He urgently appealed to Meng De to mount a rescue. 115

After the rescue, Leng Feng thanked Tie Zhu for helping him escape and vowed revenge. 116

He later participated in Meng De's operations against the West City Rescue Base, following orders to kill non-Awakened combatants and capture Ability Users alive when possible. 133 During the confrontation with the Fifth Order peak Hungry Ghoul Demon Han Niba, Leng Feng joined Lei Qiang and Boxing Emperor Jing Fu in protecting Meng De despite the monster's overwhelming defense. 135

University City operations

By the time Meng De confronted the Hundred Schools Alliance, Leng Feng had reached Fifth Order. He swiftly incapacitated the Alliance captain Zhang Xu and helped capture the remaining members alive. 151

At East Sea Academy of Arts, Leng Feng arrived with his team to support Meng De against Alliance operatives. He severed an assailant's hand with a wind blade, then led the rapid capture of the remaining hostile students. 158

Meng De later dispatched Leng Feng and the Sixth Order Black Emperor to assault the Hundred Schools Alliance Base and rescue Teacher Zhao. After Black Emperor devastated the defenders, Leng Feng led the clearing operation through the upper floors and captured fleeing survivors. 162 163

Personality

Leng Feng is disciplined, reserved, and intensely loyal to Meng De. Although Meng De tells him to relax, he repeatedly defaults to formal military salutes and attention-like posture. 64

He is deeply protective of his comrades. His normally controlled demeanor breaks when Tie Zhu is captured or endangered, and he openly expresses gratitude after Tie Zhu helps him escape. 115 116 Upon Meng De's return after a week away, Leng Feng briefly becomes emotional before returning to his usual restrained behavior. 238
