You Ji and Bi Yao secretly eavesdrop on Bai Ye and Lu Xueqi at Shanhai Inn before later appearing in the Abyss of the Dead 106 114. She reveals that Bai Ye had once been invited to join the Sacred Cult and attempts to capture him. Their confrontation becomes a fierce duel, interrupted when Bai Ye's Heaven Severing Sword Draw awakens the Black Water Mysterious Serpent 114 115 116.

Dragon Blood Flower

After becoming separated underground, You Ji discovers a Dragon Blood Flower with Bai Ye. He gives it to her because it can heal her wounds and potentially raise her cultivation 122. The flower restores her body and greatly increases her True Qi, but its unexpected side effect causes her to lose control. Afterwards, she and Bai Ye resume their search for Bi Yao and an exit 122.

Developing Relationship with Bai Ye

You Ji's hostility increasingly conflicts with her feelings for Bai Ye. Her jealousy surfaces when she questions his connection to Shuiyue, and she later accepts his help in advancing her cultivation 140 141. Motherhood and Reunion

You Ji raises her children, You Xuan and You Yue, within the Ghost King Sect.
