Background

Tang Hao was born into the Clear Sky Sect's direct line, inheriting the Clear Sky Hammer and Innate Full Soul Power. He followed Tang Chen as the sect's most celebrated descendant and inherited the title Clear Sky Douluo, making the name famous again after defeating Pope Qian Xunji and three Spirit Hall Titled Douluo shortly after gaining his own title. 24 99 103

His relationship with the Hundred Thousand Year soul beast Ah Yin brought him into conflict with Spirit Hall. After Ah Yin was separated from him, Tang Hao fell into despair, unable to avenge her or openly confront Spirit Hall despite his hatred. 10 11

Tang San's awakening changed him. Seeing his son inherit both the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer restored Tang Hao's fighting spirit; he embraced Tang San and resolved to protect him. 84 93

Appearance

Tang Hao is a tall, broad-shouldered man whose appearance shifts between a ragged, withdrawn fugitive and an imposing powerhouse.

  • Ordinary-looking face and half-lidded eyes marked by laziness and despondence during his years of hiding. 89
  • Broad, muscular build and a commanding presence when acting as a Titled Douluo. 84 330
  • Often dresses in black clothing, a black hat, or a black robe to conceal his identity. 50 281
  • Wields a massive pitch-black Clear Sky Hammer, which he can enlarge to dozens or even hundreds of meters. 146 287

Personality

Tang Hao is intensely protective of his family, particularly Tang San and Ah Yin. His hope for revenge rests heavily on Tang San's Twin Martial Souls and eventual godhood; he repeatedly places Tang San's future above his own safety, reputation, and alliances. 84 127 269

His grief over Ah Yin frequently becomes rage. He destroys Spirit Hall branches, threatens children for information about the Blue Silver Emperor, and seeks to eliminate people he considers future threats. 94 146 281 His fury is not entirely thoughtless: after realizing further attacks could bring more suffering upon the Clear Sky Sect, he forces himself to endure and wait for Tang San to grow stronger. 97 127

Tang Hao is proud of the Clear Sky Sect and highly sensitive to humiliation. Losing the title of Clear Sky Douluo and being blamed for the sect's calamity wounds him deeply, though he later accepts the title Sky Piercing Sky Douluo rather than surrendering. 127 129
