Background
Tang Hao was a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect and the younger brother of Tang Xiao. Both brothers sought trials beyond the sect, but Tang Hao was selected to travel to the City of Slaughter while Tang Xiao remained behind for the sect’s future. After returning, Tang Hao rapidly caught up to Tang Xiao and acquired his sixth Soul Ring during their continental journey. 14 24
In the future he remembers, Tang Hao became Ah Yin’s partner and Tang San’s father. Ah Yin later sacrificed herself amid Spirit Hall’s pursuit, after which Tang Hao gained her Soul Ring and soul bone. Tang San eventually became a god, revived Ah Yin, and enabled Tang Hao to seize the Plane Core and become Lord of the Plane. 30
That future ended when Huo Yuhao crushed Tang Hao’s heart during their confrontation, while Ah Yin’s soul dispersed. Tang Hao then awoke twenty thousand years in the past, before Tang San’s birth, with only Soul Saint-level strength. He regarded the rebirth as an opportunity to secure Tang San’s rise, restore the Tang Family’s power, and prevent Huo Yuhao from destroying their future. 29
Appearance
Tang Hao is a broad, unkempt man with a heavily muscled bronze physique. He has also appeared in black robes while concealing his identity. 26 164 353
- Wields the massive Clear Sky Hammer Martial Soul.
- His killing intent and Divine Slaughter’s Domain manifest as a blood-red aura. 85 94
- At Rank 96, his Soul Ring configuration is two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red ring. 353
- Lost his hammer-wielding right hand in the battle at Spirit Hall before it was restored through Tang San’s divine trial. 355 447
Personality
Tang Hao is intensely possessive, jealous, and unwilling to relinquish what he considers his. He refused to accept Ah Yin’s attachment to Tang Xiao, repeatedly intruded on their relationship, and ultimately attacked Tang Xiao and abducted Ah Yin. 32 33
His protectiveness toward Tang San is genuine but inseparable from ambition. Tang Hao sees Tang San as his son, heir, route to restoring Ah Yin, and foundation for the Tang Family’s future supremacy. He is willing to use Ah Yin, Xiao Wu, and other soul beasts as resources for that goal. 78 79 157 238
Tang Hao’s confidence is often reinforced by memories of his former authority as Lord of the Plane. This produces a reckless contempt for weaker people and a tendency to assume that force can solve any obstacle. 82 124 355
