History

The Seven Kill Sword first manifests when Liu Yi is pushed near his limit by Zhi Lin's Soul Power test. It appears as a dazzling white longsword and produces multiple sword projections that block the pressure surrounding him. Its recorded dimensions are four feet three inches in blade length, three inches in width, and one foot two inches in hilt length. 3

The sword is associated with the Chen family through Sword Douluo Chen Xin, whose own Martial Soul is a similar Seven Kill Sword. Liu Yi identifies himself as Chen Xin's nephew under the name Chen Chuan, and the sword's appearance repeatedly causes opponents to fear Chen Xin's reputation. 4 12 22

After Liu Yi is injured, he enters the Seven Kill Sword's Inner World and meets Qin Feng. Qin Feng claims to be both Liu Yi's ancestor and the sword's first owner, summoning a silver Seven Kill Sword as proof. He identifies the Martial Soul as a mutation rather than an ordinary inherited weapon spirit. 61

As Liu Yi's strength grows, the sword's color changes from white to blood-red and eventually crimson-gold. After Liu Yi absorbs the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's Million Year Soul Ring and kills the Blood Dragon Law Enforcer, the system upgrades the Seven Kill Sword from divine grade to a Supreme Divine Artifact. 162 185 191

A century later, Liu Yi's daughter Liu Ying awakens the Seven Kill Sword alongside the Angel Martial Soul. Her Seven Kill Sword is silver-white and initially bears no soul rings. 199
