History
Qian Renxue's Infiltration
Qian Renxue operated within the empire under the identity of Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. At the border, the imperial guard recognized and obeyed the Crown Prince immediately, allowing her and Liu Yi to enter the empire and proceed to the imperial palace 2.
Using Xue Qinghe’s authority, Qian Renxue arranged Liu Yi’s appointment at Heaven Dou Royal Academy. Liu Yi qualified as a Heaven Supreme Grade teacher due to his Level 63 Soul Emperor cultivation, while the academy's Education Committee formally served under the Crown Prince 2.
Tournament Representation
The empire hosted the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament at its Great Soul Arena. Heaven Dou Royal Academy Team One was introduced as the empire’s strongest representative, while fifteen Heaven Dou teams advanced through the promotion rounds 82 89.
Heaven Dou Royal Academy defeated Spirit Hall Academy in the tournament final, prompting public celebrations of “Long live Heaven Dou” 102.
Succession Crisis
Xue Qinghe's disappearance created a succession crisis. Prince Xue Xing and several ministers pressured Emperor Xue Ye to replace Xue Qinghe with Xue Beng, but Qian Renxue and Liu Yi returned to interrupt the planned appointment 144.
As Xue Ye later neared death from poison, he formally stripped Xue Qinghe of the crown-prince title, designated Xue Beng as Crown Prince, and directed that Liu Yi govern imperial affairs as Supreme King 193 194. Xue Beng became emperor following Xue Ye’s death 194.
War with the Star Luo Empire
After the Star Luo Empire attacked the Heaven Dou border, Liu Yi led the empire's million-strong army in retaliation. He rallied the troops as Imperial Teacher and ordered an invasion of Star Luo territory 160.
The Heaven Dou army breached the Star Luo border, routed its forces, and advanced on the imperial capital. Its campaign used cavalry encirclement, massed Soul Master attacks, artillery transport through Steep Qi Mountain, and the support of numerous Titled Douluo 162 163 164.
The Star Luo Empire was conquered in three days. Liu Yi announced that its territory now belonged to Heaven Dou and ordered his army not to harm civilians or seize their property 165. Later accounts state that the remaining empires and duchies joined the Heaven Dou Empire after Star Luo’s destruction 192.
Conflict with the Evil Soul Masters
The empire’s newly acquired Star Luo territory became a center of Evil Soul Master activity. Evil Soul Masters killed Heaven Dou princes sent there, destroyed millions of villagers, and wiped out 500,000 Heaven Dou troops stationed in the region 187.
Xue Ye initially delayed an alliance with Spirit Hall because he feared a future betrayal, but agreed after Liu Yi advised that a united force was necessary. Xue Ye also entrusted Liu Yi with the Vast Sea Guarding Barrier, the empire’s national treasure 183.
Following Xue Ye's death, Xue Beng placed the empire on alert and ordered citizens to report Evil Soul Master activity. He later committed half of the empire’s military strength to reinforce Jialing Pass, while retaining the Soul Master Legion at home 194 204.
Battle of Jialing Pass
The Heaven Dou and Spirit Empires combined their forces at Jialing Pass against the Evil Empire. Heaven Dou troops fought alongside Spirit Empire soldiers and Soul Masters, with the Spear Legion, artillery, and Light Cavalry playing major roles 205 210 211.
Xue Beng prematurely ordered a renewed Heaven Dou assault during the battle, causing heavy losses among both empires’ Soul Master Legions. Dugu Bo’s poison attack subsequently helped turn the battle’s momentum 212.
The allied victory came at a severe cost: more than 5,000 Heaven Dou Soul Masters and more than 5,000 Spirit Empire Soul Masters were reported dead 213.
Final Reorganization
Following Liu Yi’s final victory, the Evil Soul Master Army submitted to Heaven Dou authority and its former members became lawful citizens serving the empire 218. Liu Yi then stepped down as Supreme King, leaving Xue Beng to govern the empire 218.
In a later conflict, Liu Ying reclaimed territory described as the former Heaven Dou Empire. After unifying the continent, she renamed the land Heaven God Continent and established the Heaven God Empire 228.
